With Waller gone, this should be all over. Y/n shouldn't be trudging down some street looking for the plane that the bitch went down in. She hung back from the group, not caring anymore if they blew her head off. Y/n had nothing left to live for, not even vengeance.

She had felt the highs and lows of emotions before, but this was entirely different. She had felt rage, sorrow, elation, regret, but now she felt empty. There was a void space where her heart should've been beating and a black cloud where her mind should be thinking.

" Y/n," Floyd started, but she waved her hand, hoping to dismiss him.

" Y/n, Harley wouldn't-"

" Don't Floyd, just don't," Y/n cut him off.

He nodded silently and went to catch up with Flag. They were talking about her, she knew that. It was the subtle glance Flag gave her that let her know.

The rain only added to the emptiness in her heart. As the clothes stuck to her skin, she was reminded of how alone she was without Harley.

She knew there were tears falling, but she couldn't stop them. Her face stayed neutral as the tears slid down her cheek.

Y/n lifted her head up for just a second. She squinted her eyes as she stared in the distance. There were a few scattered cop cars in the road.

She wiped her eyes viciously. Before she started sprinting in that direction. She didn't care about the guns pointing at her or Flag screaming. Her feet padded against the wet concrete and her heart pounded in her chest.

"HARLEY!" It ripped through her throat like a missile.

The void was gone, there was an ache in her chest. Was her mind playing tricks on her, or was her girlfriend sitting on the hood of a cop car?

She kept running, and soon she collided with something, another body. Slender arms clung around her back tightly, as if she would disappear any minute.

Y/n pulled back just enough for her both of her hands to rests on Harley's face. She inspects the woman, she's got some cuts and bruises, but she's ok.

" Tell me this is real," Y/n's chest heaves up and down as she talks.

Harley nodded eagerly," As real as it can get, cupcake."

That's all Y/n need before slamming her lips against the clown's. She kissed her like she was trying to resurrect her. The passions Y/n displayed in the kiss enough to make both women light-headed.

Harley broke the kiss when she started tasting her girlfriend's tears. She used her thumb to pad away at the tears streaming down the woman's face.

Y/n burries her head in Harley's shoulder. Harley melts at the contact.

" I thought I lost you. Oh god, I thought I lost you," Y/n began to sob.

Harley rubs soothing circles on Y/n's back," You're never going to lose me, Y/n. Joker, Waller, Batman, I don't give a fuck, no one is ever going to keep us apart."

" I should've been faster. I should've done something. I let him get you, I'm so sorry..."

Harley kisses her softly," You can't blame yourself, baby. It's not your fault or mine. It's his and he's gone."

" You screamed for me and I couldn't-"

" Y/n stop it," Harley was stern with her," The only thing that matters is that we're together, ok?"

Y/n nods solemnly," Ok."

" I love you." Harley stands on her tip toes and pecks Y/n's lips.

" I love you too," Y/n places a lingering kiss on her head.
