When Y/n woke up the next day, the house was empty. There was a note next to her from Wanda.

Went to work. There's breakfast in the kitchen for you. Let yourself out whenever, but you can stay if you want.

Y/n dragged herself out of Wanda's bed. She went to the kitchen to get some of the breakfast Wanda made.

She had left the girl some bacon and eggs. Y/n ate the food greedily, not realizing how hungry she was.

Her eyes locked on the back door when she finished eating. She left the empty plate on the counter and slowly approached the back door.

Her hand shook when she grabbed the handle. She twisted, opened it. She could see the shed from where she stood on the porch.

There was nothing there. Not a trace of anything, she didn't get any closer to it. The man was gone, and it helped her breath a little better.

Y/n had questions about what Wanda had done. The answers were in front her, but she didn't want to make those connections.

Y/n stayed in the woman's house until it was time for her to go to work. She helped herself to Wanda's closet and left a note of her own.

Thanks for breakfast. Borrowed your clothes and went to work. I'll see you around.

Y/n's work shift felt a little too normal. Her mind was blank, but everything was muscle memory. She was slightly concerned with herself.

She felt like she should've been unable to work. Like, her mind should've been plagued with thoughts of Wanda or the man she had killed. Yet that wasn't the case.

It was darker than the previous night when she left the office. She wished she could stay in her building, but she had to walk home yet again.

When she exited the building, a car pulled up right to her. She was going to keep walking, maybe even start running. That was until the window rolled down, revealing Wanda.

" I thought you could use a ride."

Y/n climbs into the woman's car without any hesitation," Thank you."

" I figured after what happened, you wouldn't want to walk."

Y/n takes a side glance at the woman," Wanda? Can I ask what happened?"

Wanda loses her smile," You can ask, but that doesn't mean you'll get an answer."

" I just-"

" I told you last night. You should probably be scared of me. I think that says enough, don't you."

That's when Y/n notices the black gloves covering Wanda's hands. Wanda sees this and tightens her grip on the steering wheel.

" Stop the car."

" Now Y/n-"

Y/n yells at the woman," Stop the car, Wanda."

The woman pulls the car over. They sit in silence. Both have a mind full of thoughts.

" What do you want me to say, Y/n? You're a smart girl, I'm sure you've pieced it together."

Y/n was very carefully with how she worded her statement," You're making people... disappear."

Wanda chuckles," That's the light way to put it."

" You're dangerous."

Wanda nods in agreement," I am."

" Why?"

Wanda's jaw sets," You're pushing it, sweetheart."

Y/n shoots back at the woman," You've picked me up from work with a dead body in your car."

" How'd you know I'm not planning on killing you?"

Her voice is cold as ice. Y/n might have bought it if it weren't for the day before.

" After you helped me shower and made me breakfast, it doesn't seem likely."

" You don't know what I'm capable of," Wanda spits at the girl.

Y/n gulps," You're right, but you don't scare me as much as you should."

Y/n thinks she's said enough. She exits the car and starts walking the rest of her way to her house. Wanda doesn't speed off, but trails beside her, trying to reason with her.

" Y/n, please get in the car."

Y/n keeps her eyes straight ahead," Why should I? You're literally a murderer."

" Would you keep your voice down!"

Y/n rolls her eyes," Whatever."

" Don't we have some sort of thing after yesterday. "

That stops the woman in her tracks, she crosses her arms across her chest. She stares at the red head and reluctantly climbs back into the car.

" I felt so traumatized yesterday. I thought that I'd see that man's blood on me every time I looked in the mirror. Then I woke up this morning, ate your breakfast, and went to work like I didn't kill anyone."

Wanda slowly process what Y/n says," It was an accident."

" Then why don't I feel worse about it," it's an innocent plea that falls from Y/n's lips.

Wanda pulls into Y/n's driveway and parks. She turns to Y/n and grabs one of her hands.

" The mind can be... unpredictable. You expect it to act one way, and it does the complete opposite. I saw you yesterday, you were definitely affected. Sometimes trauma needs a trigger."

Y/n blinks at Wanda," You should be the trigger."

Wanda opens and closes her mouth a few times," I probably should be. I think this is more of a problem for you than a problem for me."

" I saved your life last night, you owe me."

Wanda scoffs," Are trying to blackmail a murderer?"

" I'm trying to use a literary device on a school teacher," Y/n argues.

" Well, Y/n, I don't know what to tell you. You don't feel bad, which is bad, but it saves you from feeling a lifetime of trauma. So it's kind of a good thing, right?"

Y/n sat with Wanda's words, digesting them. She was right. Maybe not feeling bad was a good thing.

She doesn't let Wanda know that, though. Instead, she just sighs," Thanks for the ride, Wanda."

Y/n doesn't know why she does it, but she leans over and gives the woman a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car.

Wanda watches to make sure Y/n gets in safe before driving the 2 down to her own house. She's still mesmerized by the kiss that goes straight to her front door.

She gets there and then remembers what she has in the trunk of her car. Wanda reluctantly walks back to the car and opens the trunk.

" I tied you really well, you didn't even shake the car. For that, I'll make it quick for you."

There was no chance the man could fight back, Wanda had drugged him with enough tranquilizers to kill a horse. She dragged the man through the side gate of her house and threw his body against her gray shed.

She jammed a needle in his neck," Hope you have sweet dreams because you won't be waking up."

She'd worry about the disposal later, she had papers to grade.
