" You know, I thought you'd have bigger plans if you ever captured me. This is actually really boring."
After years of having a rivalry, you had finally captured the Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff.
It was hard work, a very meticulous type of work, that frankly you wouldn't have gone through for anyone else.
You and Widow had the most brilliant back and forth you'd ever experienced. In a way, she was your better half. If there was no her, you would lose your muse.
That's why you hadn't done anything to her, yet. You didn't want to, because losing her would be losing yourself. You backed yourself into a corner. This was supposed to be your checkmate, your crowning mood, but instead it felt empty.
It was going against everything you knew to be true as a villain, but there was only one thing for you to do. You released Natasha from her bonds, and looked her directly in the eyes," Just go."
She looked at you quizzically," Is this a trap?"
You rolled your eyes," No, it's not. Now would you just leave."
Her eyebrows bunched up together as you walked away from her. She wanted answers, who goes through the trouble of kidnapping someone only to release them?
She grabbed a hold of your shoulder, spinning you around to face her," What kind of game are playing here, Y/n?"
You pushed her away from you," There's no con Natasha. I'm letting you go."
" Why?"
You became defensive," I'm sorry, would you rather me keep you and torture you to the brink of death?"
Natasha nodded," It would be more on brand than letting me go free."
You sighed," What do you want? You want to fight? A little hand to hand, so that you can tell all your little super pals that you escaped?"
You threw a punch that Natasha dodge with ease. She tried to counter with a punch of her own, but you blocked it. You went for a leg sweep, but Natasha did a backflip, landing in her signature pose.
" Now this, this makes sense."
You charged at her, connecting with a dropkick, but she didn't stay down for long. Once she regained her footing, she got you in a lock-up. The two of you struggled for power and right when you thought you had the upper hand you felt Natasha's knee connect with your gut. She followed it up with two more knees, and you crumpled to the floor.
Natasha used her foot to pin you down. She was standing over you triumphantly, but this wasn't over. In one swift maneuver, you grabbed her ankle with both hands and yanked it. She fell face first onto the ground, and you kept a hold of her ankle.
You had her in an ankle lock, with minor intent of snapping the bone. Just to send her home with a souvenir.
She used her other foot to kick you in the knee, causing it to buckle. You thought it was fine until you found yourself dropping to one knee. Natasha took that as an opportunity to kick you in the head, finally laying you out properly.
Your back was against the floor, as she straddled your waist, looking down at you. There was no malice in her look. She raised her hand, and you flinched back in anticipation of her knocking you out. The hit never came, instead you felt a finger lightly tracing over your jaw.
" W- what're you doing, Natasha?"
Her eyes slowly pulled themselves away from your jaw to meet your stare," Why didn't you kill me when you had the chance?"
