Y/n had known Bella before the madness. She had loved Bella before the darkness had plagued her. Y/n always felt like Bella's life choices were her fault. She never knew what it was that she didn't do to make Bellatrix into this death eater.

After Bellatrix became a death eater most people were suspicious of Y/n. It took a huge toll on her reputation and made her a target for a lot of harassment. After all she was Bella's best friend for years, how could she not see the darkness within Bellatrix.

The fact that they were only friends haunted Y/n for her life. She wished only for Bellatrix to maybe see her desperation and just figure out that Y/n was in love with her.

That's just how their friendship always worked. Y/n needed something Bella knew what she needed, Y/n felt some way Bella knew how she felt, Y/n wished to talk Bella would silence the whole room. Bella was always there for anything Y/n needed.

This time Y/n would be there for Bellatrix no matter the cost," Y/n thank you for being here. We needed everyone that could come in this battle against dark magic ."

" I would never forgive myself if I wasn't here Professor Mcgonagall. I will fight for the light and I will fight in the name of Dumbledore." Y/n was about to do something extremely difficult.

She was going to try to fight in the war, but at the same time keep Bellatrix alive. She refused to hurt the death eater and she refused to be killed before she reached Bella.

It only took a second for the battle to begin. Y/n spared no movement, she was quick and calculating. Her spells were casted perfectly and her targets fell instantly.

She kept her temper in check trying to avoid overkill. That all changed when she saw him. It was his fault Bellatrix was in this mess. They made eye contact and he had the nerve to send her a smile.

" Look at little Y/n, finally fighting your own battles I see. Oh that's right you don't have my wife to do it for you anymore do you?"

" Oh shut it Rudolphus, I'm so glad I get to be the one who kills you," her temper got the best of her but Rudolphus only chuckled.

" Looks like you have outgrown being a shy little Hufflepuff. I encourage you not to forget what happened the last time we battled," his smirk grew.

" I was only holding back for Bellatrix but now it's pretty obvious she never liked you. She used you to get to Voldemort because you and the others put these ideas in her head. You turned her into this. It's all your fault," Y/n sent a crucio which Rudolphus deflected.

" Oh you poor child, always upset Bella didn't love you. You were always too weak and too needy. That woman can not be held down by anyone especially not by a half-blood like yourself. Impure and tainted, she would never ever be in love with the likes of you."

He wasted no time sending the green beam towards Y/n who skillfully avoided the curse. Her anger was through the roof and emotions were overwhelming her. Before she knew what was happening she sent out a bright green beam of her own, " AVADA KEDAVRA ."

Rudolphus fell lifeless instantly. All Y/n could do was look for a split second before continuing to battle. She had never felt so much power in her life. Shooting that spell made her feel a surge of energy that she refused to let go.

From that point on her strategy was gone. The only spell she casted was the most unforgivable spell in the history of magic.

Y/n made her way to the Great Hall a trail of bodies behind her. When she entered she almost froze. Not at the carnage in front of her, but at Bellatrix. The witch stood on a table with a large smile as she casted spells at Doumbledore's Army.
