Y/n was sat alone in a more secluded area of the enchanted forest. She was waiting for her boyfriend, Diaval. The two had been seeing each other im secret for quite awhile. Not even Y/n's sister, Maleficent knew about her right hand raven dating her little sister.

Just as Y/n was getting lost in thought a raven sat itself on the log she was sitting on. She stared at the raven expectantly waiting for her boyfriend to shift into human form. The raven stared at her with an almost teasing look in its eye.

" You know I can't really kiss you if you're going to stay a bird," Y/n teased causing Diaval to instantly shift into a human.

" Do I get that kiss now?" Y/n giggled at his antics but still gave him a peck on the lips. A smile formed on his lips after the kiss," We should do that more often."

Y/n let out a small sigh," We could if we told everyone we were together." The man tensed up at Y/n's words," I suppose nut it's not the right time."

Y/n was growing frustrated with hiding her love for the man," Diaval you've been saying that for nearly a year and a half."

It was now the man's turn to sigh, he reached out to grab one of Y/n's hands," I know I'm just afraid of what everyone will think."

Y/n relaxed as her boyfriend rubbed his thumb across her hand," I know love but it can't be that bad. I truly think that everyone will be happy for us."

" Even your sister?"

Y/n placed a kiss on his cheek," Especially my sister. She will definitely threaten you but she would never put you through any harm."

They pair sat together just enjoying each other's company for a bit. Diaval thinking of ways to announce their relationship and Y/n wondering if the would ever be able to hold hands in public.

Both of their thoughts are interrupted when Maleficent makes herself known. Y/n barely gives Maleficent a second to breathe before she engulfs the woman in a hug.

Maleficent laughed at the eagerness of her little sister, " I guess this means you missed me little one."

" How could I not? You're always busy between the forest and Aurora and now Philip."

Maleficent frowned," I know lovely that's what I was actually coming to talk to you about. Aurora and Philip have invited us out to the market, all of us."

" When?"

" Well now, I suppose."

Part of Y/n would rather not have gone. It's not that she didn't like Aurora and Philip but she was slightly jealous. Maleficent had pushed her aside a lot to play a mothering role in Aurora's life.

However if it meant spending some time with her sister she wouldn't mind it.

" Okay then what are we waiting for." The sisters take a few steps before Maleficent looks back at Diaval," You too Diaval let's go."

The man turned himself into a raven and perched himself on Maleficent's shoulder as they strode towards the town.

When they met with Aurora and Philip pleasantries were made before they began to browse. Surprisingly Aurora had stuck herself to Y/n and began to converse with her.

It was then Y/n figured out the pair had a lot in common. Which could've explained why her sister took a liking to the girl.

They had went off to one stand in particular and the vebdor would not stop flirting with Y/n.

" How can I possibly charge you for anything in my cart? You are simply too beautiful."

Y/n couldn't help but blush at the man's words," Why thank you sir but I am very capable of paying for my things."

The man decided to come out from behind the cart and place a hand on Y/n's shoulder," How about you pay me with a date. You are very intriguing woman and I'd like to take you out."

Y/n was about to open her mouth to decline but was taken aback when her boyfriend stepped in removing the man's hand from her shoulder.

" She isn't interested so maybe you should get back to work," Diaval had his fists clenched.

" And who are you to tell the lady whk she can and can't like?" The vendor challenged.

Diaval slipped his hand into Y/n's before staring dead into the vendors eyes," I am her boyfriend."

The man was going to say something to rebuttal but thought against it when he saw Maleficent giving jim the evil eye. The vendor went back to his position behind the cart before leaving the couple alone.

Diaval had a triumphant look on his face at least until he felt a presence behind him. His body stiffened knowing that Maleficent was behind him and probably heard what he said.

" So you were never going to tell me that you were courting my baby sister?" Her eyes were predatory almost like she going to hurt the man.

" Would you stop messing with him Mal? You know he cannot take such jokes." The older witch smiled at her sister and reluctantly stopped teasing Diaval.

" I was only joking, don't be so stiff birdie. If my sister's happy I'm happy."

The let out a sigh of relief but before he could get too relaxed Maleficent grabbed his jaw. Her eyes were sending a very strong warning.

" But if she's not, no one will be."

He gulped but nodded and the woman smiled, letting him go.

Y/n kissed Diaval's cheek before placing her hand in his," How about you and I go somewhere?"

He couldn't help the smile that grew on his face," Only if you carry me love."

Y/n rolled her eyes but agreed. The man turned into a raven and perched himself on Y/n's shoulder. With that the pair of lovers went off to enjoy each other's company.
