Y/n Harrington didn't know how she ended up on this mission with Steve but here she was.

" So why are we going to the Byers' again," Y/n questioned her twin.

" That's where Nance is." He spoke like it cleared up everything.

" Steve turn the car around. She doesn't want to see you," Y/n was furious at her brother when she found out how he publicly humiliated Nancy.

" I'm going to win her back . I love her," Y/n rolled her eyes as they pulled up to the Byers' residence.

" Steve you don't love her. You love the idea of being with her. You like that you're the popular guy and she's the girl next door. You like that she's not easy like the other girls you have been with. You don't know anything about her," Steve pauses looking at his sister.

" You're just jealous. Ya I know you like girls and I know you like Nancy but she's mine Y/n. She's never going to like you."

She knew no matter how much she wanted to argue with the boy, he was right. Nancy didn't like girls and there was nothing she could do about it.

Instead of saying anything she quietly followed her brother to the Byers front door.

Nancy was the one to open the door. Well she more like cracked it just enough to see her face.

Steve was blundering and Y/n had tuned most of it out. That was until she saw the bandage on Nancy's hand. " What happened to your hand?"

Nancy finally glanced at Y/n and shook her head," Nothing happened it was just an accident."

Before you could say anything else Steve interjected," Did he do this to you? Let me in." He barged through the door.

Y/n gave Nancy an apologetic look before following her brother in.

The inside of the house was a mess. There were weapons everywhere and Jonathan had a cut on his hand just like Nancy.

Steve was freaking out and Jonathan was yelling for him to leave but he wouldn't budge. Nancy pulled a gun on him and yelled for him to get out.

" Steve let's go, I told you this was a bad idea," Y/n tried to force her brother to leave but he was being stubborn.

" Let go of me you dyke," the room silenced as Steve yelled at his sister.

Then the lights started blinking. Jonathan and Nancy were panicked. Both mumbling something about 'it' being here.

Steve was asking too many questions for Y/n at the moment as she tried to keep up with what exactly was happening.

That's when something started to burst through the ceiling. Nancy tried shooting at it but that didn't work.

Jonathan yelled at everyone to run and they all headed for Will's room in the back of the house.

When they made it to the room Y/n's heart was pumping. What the fuck was that thing? It seemed like her twin had the same thought.

" WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?"

Nancy and Jonathan replied to him with a " SHUT UP". Things got eerily quiet before the lights finally stopped blinking.

The adrenaline finally deflated in Y/n following closely behind Nancy and Jonathan as they left Will's room.

Steve kept mumbling to himself before heading towards the phone. Before he could place a call Nancy broke the phone.

" What are you doing!?"
