There was an unspoken elephant in the room. Neither wanted to push each other to speak their inner thoughts, but eventually Dom caved in. "Let, I think we need to talk about what we are both clearly trying to avoid" he spoke gently. Letty knew he was right, the tension was too high and both just wanted it to be over. "I think that is for the best" she replied. "why did you do it, Dom? Why did you leave us, leave me?" she asked as uncharacteristic tears built up in her dark brown eyes. Dom knew that no matter how he tried to lay his reason out, letty would still be pissed at him so he tried the slow approach and started praying.

"Letty, I was blackmailed" he began. "she... She had Elena held hostage and said she would kill her if I didn't do exactly as she said." Letty's eyes widened as she recalled the woman that had taken care of her husband keeping him sane during the time she had been "dead". "she killed her anyway and I couldn't do anything about it." he said with his head hung low. Letty was confused "wait if you did everything she told you to, why did she still kill Elena? And why didn't you just end her once she killed Elena." Dom tensed. It was now or never. "she said I needed to learn." Letty could feel tears rise. "Learn what?" she asked. "something about following orders, then she told Rhodes to pull the trigger and kill her" Dom told, feeling the sadness of his failures. "and the reason I didn't leave after Elena was gone was because" he closed his eyes and prepared for the worse "when she kidnapped Elena, she also kidnapped... My son."

In that moment, Letty turned from emotion after emotion. "your... What?" she asked processing everything. "my son." Dom repeated. "you and her had a kid?" she asked feeling her heart drop. "Letty, I didn't even know he existed until she decided to remind me why I was there." Dom said. Letty knew he was telling the truth by his tone. But she had so many questions, and none of them would be easy for Dom to answer. "did you...love her" Letty asked, feeling dead inside. "no." Dom answered immediately with his sincerest tone and taking her hands in his. "I didn't love her, Letty. I couldn't ever truly love a woman that wasn't you." Letty nodded, feeling somewhat reliefed by that. "when did you knock her up" Letty questioned, uncomfortably. "she said she found out she was pregnant when I had just found out you were alive" Dom answered. "that was two years ago" Letty stated, somewhat angry. "you're telling me that she kept your son a secret for over two years?" Dom rubbed his neck, he knew Letty would be mad, but he thought it would have been at him. "apparently she was going to tell us when we got back from Cuba." Letty just sat quietly as she once again took it all in.

Dom held Letty close as she took all this information in. "that was a lot" she chuckled, all be it forced, she was trying to lighten the mood. "tell me about it. I am so sorry Letty. I know we only got our lives back fully after you got your memories back. But this is a big change and I completely understand if you don't want to stick around" he was about to give a speech on how she could leave
And begin a better life. But Letty stopped him there. "Dom, no way. I just got you back after a very tough three weeks and I will not be leaving your side ever again. We made our vows in Cuba and I vowed you ride, I ride. I intend on keeping those vows until the end." she said cupping her hands on his face allowing her wall crumble for a moment as she let a few small tears slip down her face. "besides" she wiped her tears and sniffed a small bit "how am I going to be able to meet our boy if I leave you" Dom looked at her like she had asked him to marry her all over again. "you really want this" he asked letting his hope escape in the question. "someone had to play mommy role, so it may as well be me since I am your wife after all" she smiled slightly. "I won't be able to replace Elena but I'll god damn give this little boy the best I can." she said determinedly. Dom looked in admiration at his wife and thanked god that he became this lucky. "I love you, Let. Thank you for being so amazing" he said as he held her close and kissed her. She smiled into the kiss and bit his lip slightly. "your welcome papi. But you still owe me a new car. I was liking that corvette before you trashed it" Dom sighed. "knew that you wouldn't let that go" he chuckled "good thing I have it already on its way to a garage so we can fix it together when we get back" letty looked at him in shock "really? Thank you Dom" she said as she kissed him once more. "now, about our new son" she pushed "do you know when I am going to be able to meet him?" Dom hadn't thought that bit through yet. He thought about it for a second. "we will have a family barbecue, I'll give my apologies to the team and introduce him to the family" Letty nodded. "one more thing" she asked "what is his name?" Dom thought "Elena called him Marcos, as his middle name" he said "she said I should give him his first name" Letty nodded "so what are you going to call him?" Dom smiled "I'm naming him after my brother" Letty smiled. "Brian Marcos Torreto" she said "the strongest name ever". Dom looked at her "well, maybe not THE strongest name" he said with a smirk. "Leticia Torreto sounds stronger than any name out there" the two just sat in now comfortable silence. "how much longer til we land?" letty asked as she started kissing her husband. "about three hours." dom said between breaths. "good. Let's catch up in what we missed out on in Cuba." the two spent the rest of the flight showing each other how much they missed each other and loved each other.

The end.

Well that was my first one shot. I know its a long one and I get that dom and letty may seem a small bit out of character, but I'm trying. Anyway. Have a  good rest of day.
