Since his arrival 4 incredibly short years ago, Letty Torretto had found herself doing things she'd never have seen herself doing. One day there she was feeding her step son for the first time, next thing she knew she was watching as he slowly waddled to her on his stubby little legs. Then, she found herself buying clothes with him.

Now she found herself getting him new shoes as he was just about to start preschool. They were blue with a grey sole and white laces they looked cool....the only issue was that Little B had never had any shoes with laces. (Yes these are the same shoes from the end of f9)

So after many failed attempts. He decided to go ask his Dad for help, as he had always seen Dom tie his boots when he went out to work on his car. He went out to the garage, but Dom wasn't there. He went up to his parents bedroom, no Dom.

He went to the kitchen where he found his mother. "hey mommy" Brian said as he came into the kitchen. "hey little man, whatcha doing?" She asked as she turned to face him. "I'm trying to find Daddy, I want to learn how to use my new shoes that you got me". He said.

"Sorry, little guy. Your Dad's gone over to aunt Mia's to see your Uncle. But I can help you". She said. "I've never seen you wear shoes with laces before" Brian said as he tilted his head curiously.

Letty couldn't disagree with him. She often preferred laceless shoes. "Cant argue with you there, kid. But back when your cousins were young, I taught them how to tie their shoes when they were old enough". Brian smiled at her. "ok Mommy. I wanna learn too".

Letty sat with Brian on the stairs, she tied his left one. And he tried to  to tie the left one. After a few attempts, Little B half got it. "so close, buddy. Keep this lace straighter and you should get it on the next time". Brian did as he was told and true to his mother's word, he got it.

"I did it, mommy! I did it!" He said. "Good job, baby. Now you have a skill that will last you forever". Letty smiled. "Thank you for teaching me Mommy". He hugged her. "Your welcome baby". She kissed his head.

(A few weeks later)

Very few things could ever startle Dominic and Letty Torretto, once you've faced guys who have entire armies as their body guards, taken on a tank. Life, no matter what the issue, suddenly seems very...quiet....

That is until you are faced with a cry from your child, who was quite literally the happiest person you could find. They raced out the door to see little Brian on the ground with his bike on top of him. Luckily he was wearing his helmet. "B, what happened?" Dom asked as he lifted the bike off his son, while Letty stood him up gently. "My...my lace got caught in the pedals...and...and I fell off" he said with tears in his eyes

Letty looked him over. His head was fine. "Can you move your arms, Baby?" She asked. Brian moved them just fine. "I hurt my side, mommy". He said.

It was only then that Letty noticed some blood had seeped through his shirt. She lifted the shirt up and sure enough, the point where the pedal hit him in the side was bleeding rather moderately.

"Dom, get the first aid kit". She spoke to Dom who left quickly to get the box. "Sweetie, you'll be just fine. Nothing Is broken. Me and Daddy are going to clean you up and then we'll have ice cream to calm down".

Letty gently lifted Brian into the kitchen. "Ok, baby. Daddy's going to clean the cut. It's going to sting a bit, but I want you to hold my hand and squeeze it as hard as you can".  Brian nodded.

Dom cleaned out the wound and Little B winced in pain. "Almost done, son. You are doing so well". "Absolutely, you are being so strong". Once the wound was cleaned, Dom applied a large plaster and Letty kissed it. "Well done, Baby. You were so brave, now, let's have that ice cream". She said as she broke out the tubs of ice cream.
