Baby steps.

There are moments in life that cam be summed up in one sentence. 'we go for what we really want' and a baby's first steps are the definition of this exact moment.

Little Brian was a fast learner. His mother had shown him how to eat solid foods (with both hilarious and adorable results), his dad had shown him how to melt Letty's heart (which led to her Baby fever spiking upwards), and he had learned how to say his parents favourite words, 'mama and dada' (which they never got tired of hearing).

They had tried to teach him to walk. Letty enjoyed watching Dom attempt to walk the infant, and even adopted the motherly trait of inhaling sharply when he stumbled or fell down. "God this kid has changed me" she would often think to herself.

Dom also enjoyed watching his wife lead their son around in circles to learn how to walk. But it didn't work. He was just at the walking age, but his parents were growing more concerned as each week passed with no success.

That was until the day. Letty had been alone in the house, Dom was out back working on his charger and Letty was making lunch for the three of them. She had no issue doing traditional wife tasks when it came to her baby.

She was just finishing up when she heard "mama, mama" from behind her. Expecting to see her little man crawling to her she turned around with a big smile on her face, only for it to fall briefly.

What she saw was Little B standing on his short little legs, shakaley walking towards his mother. Letty snapped out of her freeze. "That's it, Baby. Come to Mama" she encouraged. "You can do it Brian" she continued.

Moments later Brian had crossed the kitchen into the safe hold of his mother's arms. She held him up high and kissed his little cheek. "You did it baby, I'm so proud of you" she beamed. "That's right, Mama's so proud of you" she cooed as Brian squealed with the attention.

"Come on little guy, let's show Dada". She said as she took Brian out to Dom who was still in the drive. "Ok, little man, go get Dada" she stated as she set Brian down.

Brian steadily walked across to his dad. "Dada" he called out. Dom turned around to see his son walking to him. "Well now. Look at you, little guy!" He said happily. When he reached him, Dom hoisted Brian up in the air. "what a little champ" he said.

Letty walked over to her boys. "you did so good, Bubba" she told him again. "We're so proud of you". "Mama, Dada" he said looking between the two. This was another beautiful moment in their unique family life, and one they would treasure for the rest of time.

The end.

(Short, sweet, with absolutely no point or right to exist...must mean it was my idea with help from loomriah again. I hope you enjoyed and I'll catch you lads and ladies in the next one.)
