Dom and Letty had invented race wars long before(not so) Little B came along. But once he had, he was immediately involved.
From being strapped to a harness on Letty's chest, to where he was now walking with his.... somewhere in between girlfriend and fiance, Abby.
Race wars was a special place. Dom, Letty and Little B had always loved heading out for the day and once they saw Abby was more than able to drive, they had no objections to bringing her as well.
Every year the place was filled with people. People who were either there for the spectacle, or who wanted to get their hands dirty and race for money.
Dom and Letty chose their races like candy from a selection box. It has been so long since either one had last lost.
Brian and Abby, meanwhile, waited til the end of the day. They raced each other in a set of three. Dom v Brian, Letty v Abby and the two winners for the final race.
So while they waited they just walked around for a while. Brian was very proud of this event and liked to show Abby where the best moments from memory had happened.
Abby had gone off to use the restroom, while Brian sat outside on his phone. He'd been going through car parts listings, and a proper engagement ring for Abby. He figured why not get a start on saving, so she won't have to wait longer than needed.
As he scrolled away, a girl came alongside him. "Hey there, handsome" she said. Brian was not a rude person. Nor did he want to be, but he figured out there and then that he needed to shut this woman down.
"Uh....hi". He said. He needed to be quick about this so that Abby didn't see. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side. Abby walked out and over to him. "Nice talking to you". He said before walking over to Abby.
That girl didn't give up. Soon there were a number of them. Brian tried to be polite and tell them to go away. But they never listened. Brian went out for a race to get away from them. Abby sat down somewhere, she'd noticed these women surrounding her man. She didn't like it one bit.
Letty saw something was troubling her. "All good, sweetie?" She walked over to her and sat beside her. "I think some girls are trying to steal my man". Abby said. She hated that those words had to come out of her mouth.
Letty chuckled slightly. "Race wars has a lot of things, but skanks unfortunately are everywhere". Abby nodded. Becoming serious, Letty asked a question she prayed she already knew the answer to. "B, hasn't gone for any of them... Right". Abby thought. "No, he's stayed by my side. I just hope he's being honest with himself..these women are so much...." Letty cut her off. "Not a chance, Honey. I've seen how Brian looks at you. You are his world. The thing is with Torretto men, is that they are chiseled like statues. It doesn't get better than them". Abby nodded. "However, this rule extends to those of us who are lucky to be chosen by them. Now I know we both know our boys would never leave us, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to....remind them what they mean to us and what they'd lose if the ever were stupid enough to". Letty smirked.
For the first time since that morning, Abby smiled. "How do we do that?". Letty broadened her smirk. "Well, Brian has just won his race. When me and his father were young, I used to remind him that no matter what he won, I would always be his greatest trophy. Go". She smiled. "thanks Letty". Abby smiled as she walked away. "Anytime hon,".
Brian got out of his car and was immediately surrounded by people. Guys first bumping him, and girls trying to touch him. He caught sight of Abby and all of a sudden, no one was there. Just her.
She let him get close enough before she jumped to him and wrapped her legs around him. Brian was taken aback by this gesture but gladly accepted it. "What's this for?" He asked with a grin.
Abby grinned herself. "Well a winner, needs a trophy". Brian felt weak in the knees. "well, you'll more than do. I love you Abby. Only you". He said as he kissed her.
Abby saw the skanks disgusted looks. But they didn't hurt her, she smirked at them as they walked off.
"I love you too, Brian". She said after their kiss. Abby got placed down on her feet again, and Brian wrapped an arm around her. He meant what he said. And she knew it. They walked back together and Letty winked at Abby, who returned it with a smile.
"Yeah, momma didn't raise no fool". She said with a satisfied grin to herself.
The rest of the day went on without any more skanks or surprises. Another fine day at race wars.
The end.
