Bubba's First Christmas.

It was that time of year in L. A once again. Snow on the ground, lights in the air and enough trees to make a small forest. Yes it was Christmas time again.

Dom and Mia always loved Christmas growing up, old Jack Torreto always tied to up his game each year. One year he had even brought home that beloved family charger. Now they were grown up that magic feeling didn't leave and they had their own families to share it with. Letty and Brian were never too fond of the holiday, but once they met their other half that quickly changed.

This year was going to be different however. There was to be a third member celebrating Christmas in Dom's House this year. Little Brian. Dom had always wanted a kid to share his love for Christmas and while his nephew, Jack, had always done so. This was his kid. And this was a lot more special to him.

Letty and Dom wanted to make Brian's first Christmas memorable even though the kid wasn't even a year old yet. They wanted him to remember it for the rest of his life.

It was the morning of Christmas day. No one being an early riser in the house the small family got up at around 10. Brian in his step mother's arms just stated at the tree with wonder. It was so bright and big to him. Letty and Dom just smiled at him.

It was present time. Letty had Brian on her lap as Dom presented him with an all too familiar 1970s Dodge Charger toy car. They smiled knowingly as Brian looked at the car in amazement.

Letty then handed Dom the baby and went to get her gifts. She came back with a small box. "here you go little man, you probably won't even remember this day, but I wanted to get you something special for your first Christmas with us." she said as she opened the box. Inside was a small golden cross. It looked openable.

"when you get older, you may have questions about why we don't look alike. And I'll be able to explain it using this." she opened the cross up. "this was your birth mommy. She's watching over you from heaven, she loved you so much and wanted you to be safe always." she said. "now even though we are not related by blood, your daddy told me long ago that blood doesn't matter in families. Only love and loyalty does. And I can definitely tell you that I love you with all my heart, bubba." she says as she tickled his little foot which earned a giggle from the boy.

Dom looked at his wife with awe. He had never seen someone so loving in his life. She accepted Brian wasn't hers but made it clear that that didn't matter to her, to her he was her baby and that's all that mattered. "you are incredible, Letty, you know that?" Dom said to his wife. "it was all your teaching, papa" she said as she kissed him then kissed Brian on his cheek.

Dom had one last present for his wife. "Letty, take Brian I have one last present to get." he told her. Letty took Brian and made an exaggerated, open mouthed smile at him getting a laugh out of him. "you hear that, bubba? Daddy has one more present for you" Dom smiled sheepishly. "it ain't for him, Letty. It's for you." Letty looked confused.

He came back with a box in his hand and sat down with them once more. He took one of Letty's hands in his. "I know that we have had everything except a normal life, and that we are never one for traditions. But I felt like this was something we needed." he began. "Letty, we have been together for nearly 20 years and married for 10, even if it was complicated. We've pulled some crazy things and sacrificed a lot. I wanted to give you something, so even when we are not around each other, we always will be." he finished as he opened the box revealing 2 wedding rings. Golden, shiny and typical. Ingraved on them were the words" ride or die" Letty looked at the rings and tearfully smiled. "Dom, baby they are beautiful." she said as she went to kiss him. "only the best for my wife" he said with a grin. He slid on the ring and she just admired it showing little Brian who seemed more interested in the flashy lights that reflected off it.

The little family just sat happily enjoying their morning before the rest of the family arrived for Christmas Dinner and chaos ensued. This was definitely a special Christmas for them all.
