Children are curious, little things. Little Brian Torretto was no exception. He often had the most innocent of questions and his parents had no problem talking to him about them when he would ask.

The most recent question on the little guys mind, however, would be one that would teach him a life lesson.

"Mommy, what's a promise?". He asked randomly. Letty looked up from her task that she was currently doing.

She looked into his big, innocent, brown eyes that had stolen her heart. "Well, a promise, baby, is like a deal. But with a guarantee". She tried to find the words to explain to him without getting confused. "Think about it like this, let's say daddy asked you to help him work on his car later and you told him that you would definitely be there". She tried. " That would be considered a promise".

"Oh...ok". He said seemingly satisfied with the answer. "Remember though, baby. A promise can be broken if it is ignored". She resumed. "How do you break a promise?" He asked aloud. "Well....let's say again that daddy asked you to help him with his car and you said you'd be there, but didn't show up". That would be a broken promise".

"I don't want to break any promises". Brian said. "No one should ever want to, little man. I'm proud of you for saying it".

"I'm going to make you a promise, Mommy". He said confidently. "What, baby?" She said, trying to be serious, which was hard considering how adorable he was being right now.

"I promise to love you and Daddy forever and ever" he said as he hugged into her side. Letty smiled a big grin, how could a little boy be this pure?. "You sure you can keep that promise buddy?". She teased softly. "Mmmn hmmm". Brian nodded eagerly.

Letty hugged him back, I promise you too, little guy".  "I love you Mommy". Brian said still hugging Letty. "I love you too,baby"she kissed his little Head. "With all my heart".
