What About Adding One More?

(one shot that made me melt while writing. Letty finds out that the family is getting bigger)

Letty was definitely not like other girls. She never liked dolls, she never liked make up and she despised dresses. But maybe that's why he loves her. Dominic Torreto met his wife at the races. He was the hot shot that won everything. She was the fearless chick that didn't back down. He admired her confidence and tried to show off some of his own. Unfortunately that didn't end too well as he crashed his car into hers.

After this Letty became friends with Dom's sister, Mia, despite the fact they were polar opposites. Soon she became part of the Torreto family, Dom slowly falling in love with her during the process. I mean who wouldn't, she was badass, tough and gorgeous as hell.

They pulled dangerous jobs and never stopped. He ran for Mexico after one went sideways, and left her there. He made his way to Cuba and she followed. They got married, but he ran again to try and keep her safe.

She tried to get him back by running with the fbi for a certain Brian O Conner but got involved in a drug case gone wrong. They flipped her car, blew it up, left her with no memory.

She ended up working for Shaw, pulled jobs with his team, but eventually found her way back to Dom and his team. She spent months trying to remember who she once was and after a close call between her husband and death, it all came back to her.

They took a trip back to Cuba, where they talked about children and a family of their own, before her husband's past came back to haunt him and he was blackmailed to work for that bitch, cipher, during this time they learned of the light of their lives, baby marcos, or Brian as he was mainly called. She loved him like he was her own, but alas he wasn't. He was Elena's. A cop Dom had gotten with in the time he thought she was dead. It was hard at first but she settled into the mom gig pretty well.

All was well. Until about three months ago. She was feeling unwell, tired and lightheaded, but kept it from Dom to avoid him worrying. It was Mia that suggested this outlandish theory to her that maybe she was pregnant, considering that she had been pregnant herself twice before. Letty and Dom hadn't really been trying for another kid, but they weren't really being too careful either.

Letty really didn't know but went with Mia and her judgement and went along with her to buy a pregnancy test. They bought 5 different branded ones.

Once Letty got home she used the tests. She set the timer after each one. Each second felt like it lasted an hour, but soon, it was time to check. She flipped tee five over one by one and held a hand over her mouth and the other to her flat stomach, all 5 were positive. She went to show Mia and her reaction was just as cheerful.

They hugged as Mia congratulated her sister in law.

The next day, Letty organised a doctors appointment to see if everything was fine with the baby. She wanted to get all details herself before she told Dom. They gave her an ultrasound and everything seemed fine. A strong heartbeat that just screamed Torreto, it was a healthy size. They told her that she was three months along, which surprised her, until she remembered that three months ago was their anniversary month and Dom whisked her and Brian away to Cuba once again. They asked if she wanted to know the sex of the baby, Letty thought about it for a second. She wanted to know so that she could surprise Dom in an easy way. They pressed around her stomach for a bit and after about 5 minutes they told her it was a girl. Letty teared up slightly as she processed the news. A mini her. She thanked the doctor as he left to get the picture of the ultrasound.

They handed her a picture of the scan. And she was off. The had to think of a way to surprise Dom in a special way.

She decided simple was the perfect way to do it. She wrote on the picture In bright colour "daddy's little girl" and put it in a box then hid it under her pillow.

It was little Brian's bedtime. Dom was putting him down, this was always Letty's favourite part of the day, seeing her husband look so natural as a father. It made her excited to think of how he'd be with their daughter. Both Torretos kissed their baby boy goodnight and said they loved him. Then closed the door.

Letty was getting into bed as she snuggled into Dom's arms. He asked her about how her day went while he was at the garage with Brian. She told him it was good, amazing in fact, then she told him she had a surprise for him. She reached under the pillow and pulled out the box. She handed him the box as he opened it she could see the gears turning in his head. He looked at the photo then back at Letty then to the photo again. He kissed her passionately, she tearfully smiled back and asked if he was happy, he said he was over the moon. They talked about the little miracle and what she might looked like. The sleep took them over and they peacefully enjoyed the silence.
