If there was one thing that Letty hated more than being dragged shopping it was being sick.
She had come down with some form of illness, and was not happy about it.
Equally unhappy was little Brian. He hadn't been allowed to see her for three whole days now.
He sat sadly on the floor absentmindedly pushing his toy along the ground.
Dom passed by and saw his son sitting. He knew the sadness he was feeling. Dom had been demoted to the couch for the same amount of time. But seeing his son sad wouldn't do.
"Hey Buddy, you missing mommy too?" He asked as he bent down to his level. Little Brian nodded. "Well, why don't you make her a get well soon card and I'll give it to her when I bring her up some homemade soup that your aunt taught me how to make for when someone's sick?"
Little B tilted his head. "A get well soon card?" He asked. "Yeah, it's a special card that you can make for when someone isn't very well".
Little Brian stood up. "Thanks, Daddy. I'm going to make mommy the best card ever!". He said as he toddled off to get his craft supplies.
He spent the better part of an hour making the card and putting a message inside it. He was very proud of his work.

He gave the card to Dom who brought it up with the soup.

Letty was miserable. She had been feeling terrible for days now and was becoming bored. Dom came in with the tray and laid it on the bed then left.
She gathered the soup and saw the card. She read it. It said 'dear mommy, I hope you get better soon . I miss you and our cuddles. Please get better soon, I love you more than all the horses in daddy's car. Brian.'
Letty felt herself grin wide as a test filled her eye. "Damn that kid makes me softer everyday". She said as she wiped a stray one.

When Dom came to get the tray after Letty had fallen asleep, he saw two little sticky notes. One for him and one for Brian.
He gave Brian his one and left to clean the dishes used for lunch. The note read "thank you so much for the card, baby I loved it. I love you too. When I am better, you and me will catch up on all our missing cuddles. I promise".
Brian smiled, happy that he had been able to make his mommy happy while she was sick.
