(set before f9.)

"you nice and comfy, little man?" Letty asked as she rubbed a hand over the small boy's hair. "Yes Mommy". He said with a smile that would have even melted her heart all those years ago when she was twice as hot tempered.

"Can I have a story, please, Mommy?" He asked as he clutched his favorite bear. "Well....I'm not really good at telling stories, Little man" she really didn't want to say no to him, especially since he was quite literally, half of her entire world. So she thought of a little plan. "But maybe you could help me, ask me" she suggested.

"How will I help you, Mommy?" He asked with those big innocent eyes that could melt the artic. "Well, you ask me a question and let's see if we can make something out if it?" She said.

Little B's face lit up like Christmas. "Ok" he beamed. Brian pondered on a question to ask. Then he had one. "where did Daddy get his cool car?"

Letty smirked. Torrettos and their cars. "well, his daddy, your grandfather Jack, brought it home one year so he could make it look brand new with your Dad" Letty began.

"He and your grandfather spent months, buying parts, fixing it's engine and other pieces, and just had a good time doing it". She continued.

"Will me and daddy get to work on a car together one day?" He asked. "Of course you will baby. That car gets broken a lot, so he'll be dying to get you to help when it happens again". She smiled as she continued. "After your grandfather passed away, your dad didn't drive it much. He was scared of it. But one night he decided to take it out to a race on the streets we grew up on". She smiled as she thought back on her youth.

Little Brian looked at his mother as if she hung the moon. Listening to every word. "He decided to race against someone who was gathering a bit of attention that night. She was winning, left and Right".

"Who was she, Mommy?" Brian asked. "Well, she was me, Baby. Your daddy raced me". Letty smiled. "Wow!" Brian awed. "Who won?" He asked.

Letty laughed slightly. "Well, no one won. You see, your dad hadn't had enough practice driving his car and it went out of control. He hit my car and we both ended up pretty hurt".

"Oh no. Silly daddy". Brian said as he looked down with a yawn. "Yeah, it wasn't his finest moment". Letty giggled. "But if that didn't happen, I would have never fallen in love with him. Then we would have never become so happy, so I guess some good did come out of it".

She looked ahead of her and saw little B close his eyes. He softly snored. It was definitely one of her new favorite sounds. She quietly got off his bed. "Goodnight baby. Sweet dreams". She kissed his forehead and turned off the light.

She left the room just as Dom entered the front door. "Hey Honey". She said playfully. "Go say goodnight, he's just gone down". She Said. Dom pulled her close giving her a little squeeze on her rear. "I will. But first I want to say hi to my universe".

He kissed her passionately and she returned it. Before it got too heated they broke it. "I'll be waiting to finish that after you go say goodnight to our boy". Letty said in his ear.

Dom felt a shiver go through him. "Yes ma'am" he responded with one last peck on her perfect lips.

Not every night was this peaceful for the Torrettos, but when they were, they were always something wonderful.

The end....for this story.

(Letty telling the past through her own eyes. Based on Brian's questions. It's the kind of bonding I want to see IRL. But still, happy I can be the provider. If this was any good, you know who to thank. loomriah as per usual. Thanks so much for reading and I'll catch you lads and ladies in the next one).
