Little B was definitely not such a little boy anymore. Here he was, doing well in highschool,  he had a good circle of friends and he had just recently gotten a girlfriend.

Well, they recently became official, but still. Abby had been the only person in his life that he felt this way about. He knew for sure, even though it was only the beginning, that she was going to be the one for him.

They had arranged for their first date to be today, and Brian had had absolutely no clue how to arrange anything like this. He wanted this to be special.

Abby was like Letty in a few ways, she could more than handle her own, but was not Afraid to let her built up wall down every so often.

She could fight, proven by how they would play wrestle and she would get him pinned down every couple of rounds.

She was also adventurous and loved to explore her surroundings. So who better to ask advice from than his mother?

"Hey mom....do you have a minute to spare?" He asked, seeming slightly desperate. " For you, sweetie, I've got all the time in the world". She responded. She was getting softer as she went through life.

"Its about my date....I have no idea what to do....and since Abby really reminds me of you, I thought you'd have some bright ideas on what I can do to make this first date a special one" he said rambling.

Letty laughed a hearty chuckle. Softer she may be getting, but never blunt. "Ah..." She said as she slowed her laughter. "Sorry baby, it's just always a joy when you and your father are out of your know-how".

"So....can you help?" He asked, he may be nearly a damn man at this point but Letty somehow knew that he'd always have those big puppy like eyes.

"Of course I can, baby". Letty then got to the nitty gritty of it. "Right.....well when your Father and I first started dating, we'd go to that burger place near the old store. It was close to the garage so we could continue our night there".

Letty said momentarily remembering what usually occurred after dinner on a date night....or any night really.

"Gross, mom". Brian gagged. "That definitely won't be happening tonight". Letty smirked "you're damn right it won't, kid".

"Anyway, it was a casual place but it was no shack. I always thought that it was the perfect place for me and your Dad at that age...it still is somewhere that we go regularly".

"What's the name of this place, you've never mentioned it to me before?". Brian asked. He definitely liked this idea. "It was run by a sweet woman, she became a good friend of mine and your father's. She called the place 'Rosa's'".

"Rosa's? Ok..." Brian put the place into his phone's map. "Is this it?" He angled the phone towards her. "Yep...hasn't changed a day since me and your Dad first went there". Letty smiled.

"Perfect, thanks Mom. Wish me luck" Brian said as he gave her a hug. "You don't need it, baby. Me and your Dad somehow managed to raise you right, you'll be just fine". She said as she returned the hug.

Brian made his way over to Abby's house. He made a mental note to just ask for a ride before running off.

He got to her house and took s minute to compose himself. Then he walked up and edited for her. Her mother opened the door and invited him in.

Brian would have brought flowers, but he knew Abby was the type of girl who just preferred to not have them as they were more of a bother then anything.

He recalled a time when she said she loved flowers in fileds, because then she wouldn't have to take care of them and they couldn't make a mess as theirs petals died.
