"And this right here, son, is the gear stick." Dom spoke to his son. He was back with his family at their family home, 1327. He put the time after the adventures, Around New York, Russia and back, to get the old house rebuilt. He wanted his son to grow up where he did. Currently he was showing little Brian his father's 1970s Dodge Charger. "the rest of our family thinks this car is a curse." he chuckled. "it has been crashed a lot. But I wouldn't give up on it. It's the only physical memory of your grandfather that I have." he said as he stroked his hands along the wheel.

Letty came out to see where her husband and stepson were. She came into the garage and stood at the door. Her heart melted at the sight."this car is family, in a way." she heard him say to the boy in his arms. "and you never turn your back on family, remember that son. Me and mama will always be here to protect you." Letty's smile somehow grew even wider. "always" she finished. The two guys, in perfect synchronisation, turned their heads to her as she spoke, which Letty found adorable.

Seeing Letty, Brian became restless as he tried to reach for her making little grunting noises. Then his little voice was heard "m.. Ma... Ma... Mama" he babbled. Both Torreto parents froze. This was the first time that Brian had called Letty mama, or even spoke the word, But still the boy reached. Dom was the first to react. "good job buddy, that's mama." he said pointing to the still frozen Letty. Letty felt some tears rising. This was the first time she was about to cry with an emotion other than anger or sadness in.a very long time . This time it was joy. "that's right, baby, I'm your mama " she said as she took him from Dom. She spun him round, making him squeal with excitement. Than she peppered his little face with gentle kisses as she held him tight and close.

Dom remained seated in the charger watching the site. He loved seeing his wife and son interact, it made his heart grow in size. "come on, baby, let's go show the rest of the family" Letty said as she took Brian out to sit with the rest of the gathered family for the traditional barbecue. Dom got out of the car and closed the door, taking one last look at the black beauty of a car sitting in front of him. "He called Letty his mother for the first time around you. Thanks dad. See you soon."

And with that Dom went to join his family around the table, where he found laughter and awes as little Brian showed off his new skill. He loved these moments, nothing but  peace, love and family. He needed nothing more.

The end.
