Dressing Up.

(Comedic one shot of why old clothes are not as reusable as we think)

Dom and Letty were going out on their first date in a very long time. They had asked Tej and Ramsey to babysit their two children, Brian and Sofia, for the night. Dom wanted to make sure that tonight would be special.

Letty also wanted this night to be special for them, so she decided to go uncharacteristic with her choice of clothing. She wore her long red dress thst she had worn when she went to Abu Dhabi with the team looking for God's eye. She knew how much Dom loved it.

When she walked down the stairs, Dom was hit with a strong sense of deja vue. Walking down slowly and elegantly, clearly gaining her husband's attention. Dom looked in awe. "and here I was thinking you couldn't possibly get any more beautiful" he said as he kissed her. "easy, Papa, there are young eyes present" Letty said pointing to 4 year old Brian and 7 month old Sofia being held by Tej and Ramsey. "and older eyes that really don't want to see anything like that tonight" Ramsey said looking away. Both Dom and Letty laughed, then kissed their kids goodbye saying they would be back by 11.

Dom had clearly put thought into tonight. They went to the restaurant where they had their first date and to make it even better he had booked their exact table that they sat at on that first date. The place was always quiet with only the sound of the jukebox playing randomly requested songs.

Dom and Letty spoke about anything and everything from the old days, to street racing, to the two angels back at home that had so much of their parents in them, for hours before Dom announced he was going to the bathroom, in reality he was heading to the jukebox. After flipping through the songs, he found the one he was looking for.

Letty was playing with the bottle cap of her corona, when the music started. It took her a second to process the song and once she did, she had the biggest smile she had ever worn. It was their first dance song. Dom came up behind her and outstretched his hand. "may I have this dance, Letty?" he asked with a smirk. "of course handsome" she replied.

The two swayed left and right gently to the music. "I'm beginning to think you had all this planned for little old me, Mr Torreto." she smiled. "who else would I even look at the same way as I do you, Mrs Torreto? You the only one for me." he said as he looked lovingly into her dark brown eyes.

Once the two had finished their dance and Dom handled the bill. The two made their way back home. They payed Tej and Ramsey and quietly made their way up to the bedroom. Both knew what they were going to do but said nothing. As they got undressed and ready, Letty latched on a breath. "uh, Dom" she whispered, slowly going as red as the dress. "I know babe, I am not looking which I never understood considering we..." he said before she interrupted him "not that Dom. My zip... It broke."

Dom turned around to see Letty holding her zip in her left hand. "it what?" Dom asked trying to stifle a laugh. "it broke." she repeated. Dom started chuckling before quickly shutting himself up once he got the glare from Letty. "alright let's see what we can do here." he said as he put his hand up to his chin to think. "let's see." he thought for a while "let's try and pull you out of it." he said as he and letty tried pulling the dress off. "it's no good, let. You are good and stuck " Letty looked at him. "I know that you are not calling me fat, Dominic, considering that I gave birth to your daughter a few months ago and have done my best to lose the weight that I put on carrying her, giving birth to her after you impregnated me" she said through gritted teeth as Dom shrunk in his spot. he thought about it a little longer then he thought of it. "we could try using butter or grease to lose you up." Letty cringed. "uggh fine" . I can't believe that I wore this old thing. "If Mia had drilled one thing into my head over the years, it's clothes can be reused just not after 7 years or so"

After getting the butter and rubbing it on Letty's shoulders Dom tried pulling the dress off. After 5 hard pulls and Letty clenching herself as best she could  they finally got the dress off of her. The both collapsed on the bed. "I think this is the first time where we have been out of breath in this room without our usual fun and games." he panted. "don't. Just don't Dom. I'm going to sleep to try and forget what the hell we just went through." Dom smirked. "awwww, Let. Don't be embarrassed. This could have happened to any person. And let's be honest here. There are worse and more embarrassing things to get stuck in. Like a crashed car. Or one of our many being walked in on situations when we are having fun." he said as he wrapped his arm around Letty and kissed her head.

These moments are embarrassing for all of us. But for Letty it is extra hard because of her pride. But it's a good thing she has Dom to tell her not to worry about this stuff. No matter what happens to her or how foolish a situation she can get into, Dom will always see her as thee same goddess of beauty that he  fell in love all those years ago.
