It had been a crazy few days in Little Brian's life. His dad and stepmom had left him with his uncle for a few days, then when they came back, they told him they were leaving their farm.

Little Brian liked the farm, he would miss fixing the tractor with his dad. But his Dad told him they would work on a real machine when they got to their new house.

When they arrived, it was nothing but a site. But days later, the foundations and support beams were in place. The perfect time to celebrate with a barbecue. Brian's aunts and uncles were all there as well as some more people he didn't recognise. But they seemed friendly, so he were happy enough.

Brian got bored of waiting for the food so he asked his stepmother to play with him. Letty couldn't resist his little face so she and him went to the garage to play with his toys.

Brian had made up a storyline in his head and Letty played along. It ended with his toy charger taking down a spaceship. Letty was so invested in their playtime that she got vulnerable with him. "You drive just like your dad". She said admiring how perfect every little hair was on his head. "I do?" He asked curiously. "Mmmn hmmm" she responded. "You know, this is where I met your mom for the first time" they had told Brian about Elena long before, still wanting her to be a part of his life. "She's watching over you from heaven" she finished. "She is?" He asked. "Yep". Letty smiled at him.

"And you watch over me from down here!" He said enthusiastically. "That's right, me and daddy will always be here to protect you, baby". Letty said feeling her heart grow every second she interacted with the boy.

Letty turned feeling a gaze on her. She saw Dom. He was wearing a look of pure love and admiration. Letty knew Brian wasn't hers, but it didn't matter, she loved him more than words could describe.

Letty smiled at her husband "I think daddy has a question for you". Dom looked from his wife to his son. "You ready to say grace, kid?" He asked the boy. "but I don't know what to say" Brian said. "Oh that's easy. Just say whatever's in your heart". Dom finished.

Letty stood up and lifted little Brian into her arms. Little Brian gave her a hug and she smiled into it. She admired the boy, then her husband as she walked proudly to the table. It wasn't the same table as it had once been, but it had been faithfully recreated.

"Hey guys, Little Brian's ready to say grace with us" Letty said as she sat with Brian on her lap. "Nice" Mia said as she looked at her sister in law hold her nephew. She was really looking every bit the mother she was becoming.

Dom stood behind his chair. "Now hold on, there's still an empty chair" he said looking at Mia. "He's on the way". She said. Moments later, a loud engine was heard coming up the street. The family turned to look. A blue Nissan R34 Skyline GTR came up the street and into the drive. The driver, Brian O'Connor made his way to his wife and took his seat beside her.

"Alright, son. Bless this table". Dom said as he ruffled little Brian's hair. "Dear God" he began. "Thank you for all my uncles and aunts, my cousins. For all the family barbecues and my daddy, mommy And new mommy" he said looking at Letty. "Who is always here for me when I need her". He finished. "Amen". The rest of the table finished as well.

Letty felt a few tears rise in her eyes. This boy was sweeter than anything she had ever seen. Letty gave him a little squeeze with her already wrapped arms. "I love you, Baby". She whispered to him. "I love you more, mommy". He responded with complete sincerity and honesty. Motherhood was quickly becoming Letty's favourite thing.

The end.
