If you had asked Letty Ortiz, 10 years ago, where she thought she would be today. She wouldn't have believed you.
Here she was, now officially, Letty Torretto, with her adopted infant son, Brian Torretto. Heading to pick up some groceries. A simple domestic task, that she never thought she would ever catch herself doing.
Yet here she was. This motherhood thing had really made her different in certain ways. She was still able to work her way around almost any kind of engine and still knew her special fighting skills.
But now she found herself thinking multiple jobs at once. Like 'is there anything else I need while I'm out' or 'i hope I brought enough diapers for little B'
"This must be that 'mother's intuition' Mia mentioned". She thought to herself as she looked back at said little man in the back seat.
He was just coming up to two years old and had a healthy head of curly hair, from his birth mother. And his father's devilish smile and mesmerizing eyes.
She was assigned to gather the materials for this week's dinners. Dom was away on official business at the old family garage and shop. Trying to convince Brian (O'Connor that is) to help him run it when he got it up and going.
The two pulled into the the car park and headed to the trollies. Little B toddled closely along side his step mother, occasionally looking up to see if he was still going the right way.
Letty looking down to make sure he was still there, smiling as he flashed her his bright smile. They went through each item on the prepared list, Letty letting Brian wander off to get the items he was able to reach.
He was doing a great job, even getting the right kind of apples. "Here Mommy". He said reaching to give her the apples.
"Good job, my little assistant". She said as she crouched down to his height and gave him a high five.
--------------
"Mommy I tired". Brian said as he came back from his 7th trip off looking for an item. "Ok, baby, you did a super job. You can sit in the cart while I get the last few things". She said as she lifted him up, briefly admiring his adorable little face.
He sat in the cart and watched his surroundings pass by. What she did next surprised even herself. She made silly car noises as she pushed Brian. Brian laughed to his little heart's content. "Mommy being silly". he said. Letty looked at Brian "only for you, little man". She said as she kissed his Head.
They made their way to the register and paid for the shopping. Brian waving sweetly to the lady at the til.
Brian was strapped into his seat as Letty put the bags into the back of her car. By the time Letty got in the driver's seat, Brian was passed out. Letty smiled as she listened to his soft snores.
"What the hell have you done to me, little man?" She laughed quietly under her breath. "Every day I end up being more and more maternal". She looked one last time in the mirror. "Only for you, baby.... only for you".
(The end. Fluff with no point as always, many thanks for the suggestion @mariangelitasss. I'll catch you lads and ladies in the next one.)
