Alex's POV:

I had  lunch with my mom again the next day. It was... normal, to hang out with her again. Its been just the two of us since grandpa died, the only family I've got. We were sitting at the table in the kitchen

Mom: "Oceanside California, you plan on retiring and going there with her ?" I nodded

Mom: "settling down, my son is all grown up now" she faked a sniff

"Yeah yeah, it took that long, whatever"

Mom: "I knew you'd leave me to get your own life besides the soldier life, I'm just grateful that I didn't outlive you because of the military"

"Actually, I brought this up because I was hoping you'd come with me, with us" she sat back

Mom: "I cant leave that house, it's where you've been raised, its home" she said

"I understand that, but where ever we go, we make it home, with new memories"

Mom: "are you promising me children ??" She asked quickly

"Hey now wait a minute! I didn't say that!"

Mom: "but you implied it!" She began laughing

"Mom hold the phone for abit, it's too early. I cant promise you something like that"

Mom: "right right, you'll get married first" at this point she was just teasing

"Good god" I sighed

Mom: "now go be with your girlfriend, I have a book to finish, and I think that good looking British is coming over" my eyes widened

"What ?!"

Mom: "yeah, he's a sweetie and makes a good tea. Did you know he served with your grandfather ? He's the one who actually taught him how to make tea! Ha! Isn't it a small world ?" Fucking Mike

"Yeah, small world" I faked a smile

"I'll be going now" I said and walked out the door. I was headed to the gym because I had a feeling that Meghan was there. But I passed the lounge and heard cheering, I went in to see what it was about. I saw lots of operators are circled around a table, so I went in to see what they're looking at. I saw Meghan beating Lord Tachanka in arm wrestling

Tachanka: "это фигня (this is bullshit)" he said leaving in shame after he was beaten

Meghan: "this is the physical therapy I need!" She said being victorious

Meghan: "who's next ?! You'll be walking out with your arm but your self esteem will never be the same!" I could only smile at her

Craig: "your girlfriend kicked all of our asses, man" he said behind me. so it's out, great

Jordan: "hey Meghan!" He called out at her while being next to me, he grabbed my hand amd put it in the air

Jordan: "I have a contender right here!" I immediately took my hand down

"Dude! What are you trying to do ? Get me to sleep on the couch ??" He looked at me while smiling

Meghan: "Alex ? You wanna go ?" She came over and said

"Can I not please ?"

Shuhrat: "I am sorry ladies, but Alex is being real pussy"

Grace: "yes taken, but I agree"

"I really dont think this is a good idea you guys"

Meghan: "cmon, it'll be fun"
