Epilogue 1: Syringe

You sat on a crate box looking down at the ground. You can hear the sounds of your soldiers being demolished by large full force rocks that came hurdling down from the sky as the beast titan threw them. Levi stood kneeling in front of you. Silence swallowed you both whole.

"Is this really what you want to do" he whispered.

"It is" you replied

He looked up to meet your eyes. Eyes that once held light were now dimmed. He placed his hand on your thigh and gave it a squeeze.

"Whatever you think is best, I will follow your judgment always Y/N"

You looked at him. Your lips curled up slightly, lightly trembling.

"You really are my right hand aren't you" you chuckled softly.

"Forever and always. You make sure to lead those kids to death and I promise to handle the beast titan"

"A promise from Levi himself, this must mean serious business"

You looked down at your feet.

"Just don't tell Jean anything until after. You know how the kid is.." you whispered

"After several years, he still hasn't learn how to let go of me" 

You felt a warmness in you as you remember Jean always bugging you with affection. Whenever he sees you, he makes a run for it, already knowing you were going to flee away from him.

"So you don't plan to tell him good bye..No I love you? Don't you think the kid deserves a proper goodbye from you."

You shot Levi a smile.

"If I get the chance, I'll be more than happy to tell him. If I don't.."

You squeezed Levi's hand that was still on your thigh 

"You can tell him for me. I can count on you, right?"

"Dam it Y/N" he sighed

You gazed up at the sky.

"So it's a promise then. You'll kill the beast"

"...It's a promise Y/N"

"Good...Thank you Levi"

"He's still breathing!" Eren screamed out 

"Armin! Please! Can you hear me buddy!" he cried out as he hovered over Armin's fried body.

He can hear a faint sound of breathing. Mikasa landed on the roof and cried as she saw the scene before her, she also ran to Armin's aid. Eren turned to Levi.

"Please Captain Levi, give him the syringe before it's too late!"

Levi gave them a nod and reached inside his jacket to pull out the syringe. He began making his way over.

"Captain Levi!" screamed a voice

He turned and his eyes widen in horror. Floch had you tied to him on his back as he carried you up on the roof.

"The Commander is still breathing! Please the syringe!"

Floch laid you down onto the floor of the roof.  Still conscious, you titled your head towards Levi. You shot him a small smile.

"I did it" he heard you whisper.

Levi felt himself become stuck in place. His hand holding the syringe, trembling.
