chapter 43 thank you for leaving me

it was now Monday, the Monday of the week of the last Wednesday that I am not in court. the past weekend had been a rollercoaster for both me and Ryder, we protected each other from our own feelings as best as we could, we keep growing closer and closer and I must admit it scares me, but it feels good and I am sure that I need this, the feeling of love.

Cody eventually came back that night from his dad and so did their mum come back home. our alone time because of that had came to an end and I kind off hated the idea of that for multiple reasons.

" kids behave at school alright ? " Julia said before pushing the three of us out of the front door in the car since we were being too slow in her eyes. we kind of where.

i sat in the back while Ryder and Cody sat in the front, they talked in the car ride but I didn't really join the conversation since I was still tired from it being the morning and I am not a morning person.

we eventually reached the school parking lot an Ryder parked his car, the three of us got out of the car and walked towards the school doors, I went off and walked to where my locker was but before I could leave Ryder grabbed my waist and gave me a kiss on my cheek before walking off himself. I looked back at where he was standing a few minutes ago and touched my cheek on the place he had kissed me, finally getting out of my spaced out situation I continued walking towards my locker getting ready for the first lesson of the day.

it was now lunch break and I was heading to the cafeteria, when I reached it I saw Xavier and Emily sitting at our table already and I walked towards it, they were whispering about something but stopped talking the moment I reached the table, " hey " I said while sitting down.

" hey " " hey Zz " they both said and still didn't continue talking. I didn't bother to ask why I couldn't know what they were talking about since they clearly didn't want to share it with me, otherwise they would have kept talking.

eventually Ashton and Cody reached the table causing Xavier to brighten up and kiss Cody, while Ashton gagged before he kissed Emily, Xavier glared at Ashton and started to fake gag at both of them like Ashton did only a few seconds ago to him.

" hey love " I heard someone say before a hand was placed over my shoulder and someone sat next to me, yes it was Ryder. " hey " I whispered to him with a smile he returned as soon as possible. he kept his arm around my shoulder while taking out his food out of his bag, I  already had mine out so I didn't need to do that anymore.

i noticed Emily trying to get my attention in a subtle way which failed, I wont lie. she started wiggling her eyebrows at me looking between me and Ryder, i mouthed stop to her while shaking my head no, she started laughing causing everyone at the table to look at her.

" What are you laughing about ? " Ashton asked her " nothing " she said with a grin. " it's about Ryder and Zina isn't it ? " he asked with a smirk now looking between both me and Ryder. " did you finally get some balls Ryder ? " he asked causing Ryder to glare at him.

" guys he is still a pussy, he hasn't asked her a thing, they did have a make out session on the couch " Cody said casually like that was the most normal thing to share. " Cody for fuck's sake " Ryder said reaching over the table trying to grab Cody. Cody ran away from the table trough the cafeteria doors, making Ryder run behind him while cursing at him.

ashton and Xavier were both laughing at the scene but Emily was just trying to hold in her smile while looking at me, I must say that it is kind of rude for Ryder to leave me to deal with this, I don't even like talking.

I looked down at the table preventing the conversation to start from happening. " so little Zina you aren't as innocent as you claim to be are you " Ashton asked with a slight chuckle. I looked up at him and then again down, not answering him causing the three of them to let out multiple laughs since they thought this conversation was funny.

" stop " i whispered trying to settle the blush that was still covering my face, " why would we? " Xavier laughed finding this situation clearly amusing.

" it's not funny " I moaned as a child, " oh come on love it's just a joke " Emily laughed while embracing me. " so you guys boyfriend girlfriend ? " she asked me. I shook my head no since we weren't, I mean we kissed but we never labeled it, who knows all I am to him is a kiss? I hope not but everything I ever hoped in life just never came or succeeded, so maybe I should start hoping then.

" thank you for leaving me by the way " I glared at Ryder while getting myself in the car on the backseat. " sorry love, I just needed to deal with this idiot "  he laughed while hitting Cody on the back of his head. " I am glad Emily helped me out of it or I would have been so mad at you " 

" oh now I am so scared " he looked back at me with a grin, I just took a deep breath before turning to look out of the mirror. " oh come on Z " he laughed at me but then he realized I wasn't going to answer and just started driving home.

when we reached home Cody get out of the car and I and Ryder did so too, but Cody was already inside so Ryder grabbed my waist and pulled me back while saying " I am not getting the silence treatment am I ? "

i ignored him not even trying to pry his hands of of my waist, because I kind of enjoyed annoying him and he deserved it. " baby " he said while kissing my cheek, " baby - baby - baby - baby - love? " between every baby he kissed my cheek trying to get my attention. I still ignore him even tho I kind of wanted to do other thing as that with him.

" i will tickle you " he threatened whispering in my ear sending shivers down my spine. " NO NO DON'T " I said while laughing he started to already tickle me. " RYDER DON'T, STOP PLE-HAHA PLEASE RY " he started laughing with me when me knees gave up and I fell to the floor causing him to need to keep me up by holding my waist. I was currently on my knees with my back facing him while he was crouched down behind me holding my waist, he stopped tickling me and whispered " am I forgiven princess ? "

my body stiffened the moment that word released out of his mouth, princess, the word I was named to by my father when he was normal, the word that caused me so much pain. the name I wished I could give a different meaning to, but I couldn't at least not now.

Ryder noticed that I turned paler and stiffened, making worry cross his facial features. " love? are you okay ? " he asked me confused, I nodded not wanting to expose myself or worry him even more I wanted this situation to be forgotten.

" was it something I said ? " he asked me blaming himself for my sudden shock, yes he may have said the word that triggered me but he did nothing wrong, the word wasn't something wrong. " I am okay " I whispered turning my head to him wanting to make him believe me, putting a smile on my face. " so it was something I said ? " he asked me " can we go inside " I said pulling his hands off of my waist " Zina please tell me what it was so I don't say it again " he pretty much begged me. " I just want to go inside Ryder "

he nodded while looking me in the eyes, grabbing both his and mine bag out of the car " sorry love " he smiled at me " it's okay " I whispered at him when we walked inside off the house.

he gave me my bag and I went to the kitchen to grab something to drink, Cody was already seated there drinking something out of a cup, probably thee .

after I was done with that I went upstairs and started doing my homework for tomorrow.
