chapter 36 Lion King

after we got home from school this time with Cody In the car too I went upstairs to my room and made my homework until dinner.

when Julia called that dinner was ready I headed down, I sat on the available seat and she gave Ryder and Cody a kiss on the head, she sat down next to me and patted my shoulder " hello darling " I smiled at her and she put the food on all of our plates. it was ravioli.

" so darling I had a call today about your father " I turned to her and nodded so she continued

" they decided for the date of court and it will be at the end of this month since they have a lot of evidence already, I don't know rather you like that or not but whatever will happen it will still be okay, and your dad said you would defend him in court so if that is true you should probably start preparing that, it will be on the 28th Wednesday, so the 3th Wednesday from now " she informed me, she said some other things but they weren't too important and I was more concentrated on what I would do that day, but its not like I had a choice, I needed to defend him, he is my dad after all.

a new morning and this time I had put my own alarm, causing me to have more time to get ready, I was completely finished before breakfast so I just went downstairs with all my stuff so I didn't need to go back. when I reached the kitchen I saw everyone already placed and eating, we said our good mornings and I served myself a plate of eggs and toast.

" all right kids, I need to leave for work goodbye " she said before giving us all a hug and heading out of the door leaving us 3 alone. Ryder eventually went up to finish getting ready but since Cody was already done too it was just us in the kitchen.

he stood up and went to a cupboard he pulled out some kind of pills, he came to me an opened my hand pouring in 2 pills. " Xavier told me to give you this every morning and dinner, I forgot yesterday. " " thank you " I whispered but it was visible that I was scared. if he knows then Ryder knows. I don't want any off them to know

" don't worry I don't know and I couldn't ask questions from him, all I know It is pretty bad, so if you need anything just tell me please " I nodded at him and we both went to put our shoes on where eventually Ryder joined us.

we just finished school and I was I my room making homework when Ryder walked in, he smiled at me and closed the door. he sat on the bed in front of me while I closed my books whit a questionable look towards him.

" I just wanted to spend time with you, I am not going to question you. I mean if you want to of course, y-you don't need to " he looked at me hopeful, I looked at him and nodded in a not really sure way. I didn't think it was visible to him because he showed me a bright smile and started talking again.

" so like we can just talk or we can watch a movie if you'd like " " thats alright " I smiled at him

" are you sure ? " I again nodded. he stood up and went and put the tv in my current room on, I moved my books out of my bed and sat upright against the head of the bed, he sat in the bed next to me and went to Netflix, " so do you have a suggestion ? " he asked me looking at me.

" no you can chose, I don't watch movies often " he nodded and scrolled trough the movies.

I wasn't sure of spending time with him due to not being completely comfortable with being alone in a room with a man, but then again he makes me feel safer as anyone has ever made me feel.
