still Blade's POV...
Running for the same position wasn't all easy but I was grateful that my people are hands on with the campaign. I didn't really need to do anything, I just need to show up.
Roxy informed me while I was silently rehearsing my speech. She suddenly looked at the paper I was holding.
"I probably need more time, ten or fifteen will do." I told her when I realized that, making her nod and left me alone under the pop up canopy tent.
For the next few minutes, I rehearsed my speech inside my head.
I eyed the people around who seemed all eager to listen to what I have to say. And in the middle of my speech, I noticed a brown-haired woman among the people at the back, her face looked so familiar that I almost mouthed her name.
Danica Graciano. I didn't know she's back. And why would she even show herself up here?
"Blade!" I heard her calling me after the campaign but I didn't have the time and energy to give her attention.
"Yes, please. Thank you."
I gave her the papers I was holding even my phone so I could properly quench my thirst with the cold water.
"Blade! Wait!"
She kept on calling my name, catching other people's attention.
She raised an eyebrow at me and rested her hands on her waist, looked at me from head to toe. "Wow, you've grown. No wonder why people adore you so much, Mister Hot Mayor." she stated in mockery.
Completely ignoring her presence and what she said, I walked past her but she said something that stopped me from walking.
"Let Catalina see her baby."
Her baby?
Seriously?
"She doesn't have a baby." madiin kong pahayag at saka siya tinalikuran. Catalina lost her baby since the time she abandoned him. There's no way I would let her be near him.
"You know that isn't true, right? She gave birth to your baby. And no matter how terrible you think she is, Catalina is still the mother of yo-" I cut her off when I got completely pissed of with her dumb statements.
"Catalina is not his mother. She doesn't deserve to be called one. She is nothing." I left her those words and then walked out the scene.
I kissed him goodnight before I went to bed. I have been so exhausted with the campaign and my mind has been clouded with fear.
