Chapter 27 [Hope]

What's supposed to be ours will come, what's meant to be will fall into place, what's right will feel right and we won't have to force it.

Time is very crucial.

Even just a single second, you can make a difference. No matter how small or big the difference is, it doesn't matter.

Seconds will turn into minutes or hours, days into weeks, months into years... but it's always about the timing. And if you are not using time effectively and efficiently, then your life isn't making any sense at all.

Some people say there is right or perfect timing. But I don't believe in that. I believe in action. The right action will always be right no matter if you do it now or later, no matter how fast or long it took you, what's more important is you do it now and you do what's best.

Action defies destiny, actions will bring us results while destiny brings us hope. And in my case, I chose hope.

"So how was the date?" Parker initiated the conversation dahil walang nagsasalita sa amin.

Savannah sits with us in the sofa. Her black skimpy dress perfectly defined her voluptous body, kahit ang malalim niyang cleavage ay halos lumuwa na sa kanyang damit dahil sa sikip nito. Hindi ko alam kung paano pa siya nakakahinga sa lagay na 'yan.

"It was fine." tipid nitong tugon habang gumagala ang paningin sa paligid. Hanggang sa tumigil ang mga mata niya kung nasaan si Blade.

Bawat madadaanan ni Blade ay humaharang ang mga taong gustong bumati at makipag-usap sa kanya. Button down lang ang suot niya at pakiwari ko'y iniwan ang coat sa kung saan, ganunpaman ay humubog ng perpekto ang kanyang makisig na pangangatawan sa kasuotang iyon.

Everyone seems so excited to approach the honorable mayor.

"He's really hot, don't you think?" I heard her asked Parker as her eyes remained on him. She's even biting her lip unconsciously.

Pinagigitnaan naming dalawa ni Savannah si Parker at kung kausapin niya ito ay parang wala ako sa tabi nila.

"Yeah, he is." ako ang sumagot imbes na si Parker.

I was poker face when Parker looked at me. Hindi ko na inalam kung lumingon ba sa akin si Sav dahil wala rin naman akong interes na malaman pa iyon.

"That's why I dressed like this. You know, guys are pretty much the same. And I know the weakness of an alpha male like him..." Sav kept on speaking, hindi inaalis ang tingin sa gawi ni Blade.

Now, two classy businessmen are talking to the mayor. May edad na ang mga iyon at mukhang nagkakatuwaan pa sila sa paksa ng usapan.

"They are not always the same.." bigkas ko.

I can feel Parker's nervous look on my peripheral vision. Sinabi kong ayaw kong magpaka-desperado pero wala naman akong sinabing magpapatalo ako. As much as I hate competing, I don't have any other choice because I feel that Savannah is silently provoking me with her offensive remarks about men.

"Of course, they are. They always crave touch. The are physically needy. They are always thirsty. Kaya magsuot ka lang ng ganito, madali nang makuha ang atensyon nila." sabat ni Savannah.

Now, I've confirmed that we are talking indirectly. Hindi man nagkakasundo ay alam kong nag-uusap kami, taliwas man ang aming mga pananaw.

At dahil sa sinabi niya, na-conscious akong bigla sa aking kasuotan. Simpleng t-shirt at shorts lang kasi ang suot ko, plain and boring. Unlike her sexy dress.

"I couldn't agree more to that. But it's not always the case. There will always be an exception." pahayag ko pa.

We actually have the same theory about men before. Pero ngayon, kahit papaano, may nagbago na sa aking pananaw. I was bitter and closed minded. It was always black and white for me, there was no grey area.
