The king and Queen of gotham walked into their room after a long day of crime

they had successfully robbed two banks but the batman got to them and chased them down by the time the bat had started chasing them it was already 12 am and they had started robbing the first bank at 2 pm needless to say the two were both exhausted

the couple both quickly changed into their pyjamas

''puddin i'm sleeepyy'' harley whined laying her head on his chest

Joker sighed whenever she's tired she always gets extremely needy and clingy not that he's complaining of course he thinks its cute and likes it as long as its not at inconvenient times

''okay come on let's get you to bed baby'' he said walking towards their bed before laying on it harley followed immediately snuggling into his chest and side like a kitten ''shhhh'' J kissed the top of harley's head running his hand through her multi colored hair that was still wavy from her pigtails

''hi puddin'' she said with her tired voice the small little girl sounding voice that J absolutely adored

''hi baby'' he smiled ''you're cute when you're tired'' he added making harley let out a small giggle closing her eyes for a few moments before opening them again ''aww my poor princess can barely keep her eyes open'' Joker cooed rubbing her arm gently as she nodded

Harley abruptly sat up moving her shoulders around ''you swung your bat too hard again didn't you baby'' J asked and she nodded again still moving her shoulders round

Joker sighed sitting up himself so he could ease her pains ''come here let daddy make the pain go away'' harley crawled over and sat on his lap

''i keep telling you to be careful'' he said sternly while rubbing her shoulders ''i know puddin'' she replied whimpering a bit because of the pain in her shoulders ''puddin it huuuurts'' ''i know baby i know''

Joker rubbed harley's shoulders for the next 15 minutes

J kissed the back of harley's head ''are you all better now honey'' he asked ''mmhh'' harley replied tiredly laying against his chest and he smiled wrapping his arm around her stomach she closed her eyes for around 5 seconds and slowly opening them again ''shhhh shhhh sleep baby girl i'm not gonna leave'' he rocked from side to side

Harley closed her eyes as Joker slowly lured her to sleep

fun fact i was tired when i first started writing this and accidentally fell asleep for like an hour in the middle of writing:D
