This is being written by someone who has never had a tattoo done. I would love to have them, but I am in fact a minor, and in the UK you have to be 18 or over so, unless I want to fly to a country that tattoos under 18s, I will have to wait.

Small TW for a few quick mentions of needles, but I think that's pretty self explanatory considering the title:)

Harley silently gazed at Joker's tattoos as she cuddled against him on the living room couch, a random documentary playing in the background. She thought about how she had always been too scared to get a tattoo of her own, mainly because of the pain and the anxiety of getting infected from it. She continued to mindlessly eye his tattoos until his voice took her out of her thoughts.

"Are you in another universe, Baby?"

Harley giggled quietly as she looked up at him, letting her head rest against his shoulder. "And she's now made her way back into her current timeline." Harley shook her head at him.

J chuckled and kissed her forehead. "You looked a little distracted there, Bub," He teased, gently tickling under her chin. Harley laughed and hid her face in his neck.

After snickering at each other for a few moments, they both moved their focus back to the documentary on the TV. Neither of them actually cared about what it was about, but it had come on just after they found a very comfy cuddling position, and they were much too comfortable to move and get the remote to change the channel to something that was more interesting to them.

After a couple minutes of quietness, Harley spoke up, "Puddin... How did you choose your tattoos?"

J looked down at her and reached his hand up to gently pet her hair, shrugging slightly. "Some I just found images of and some I thought of and designed, why do you ask, Sweetheart?" Harley was quiet for a moment. "I dunno, I was just thinkin' if I'd like'em on me." J nodded. "I could get you some temporary ones to keep on for a few days and you could see how you like them."

"Hm, I've kinda always wanted a few, I just don't really know if I'd trust a random person to do it on me." J carefully pushed some blonde hair up and out of her face. "Well, If you wanted, Daddy could do it for you, would you prefer that, Love?"

Harley's eyes practically lit up. "You can do them?" J smiled and nodded." Yes, Baby. I've done quite a few on myself," he said.

"Could you help me pick one?" She asked, starting to slowly trace his jester tattoo. "Of course, Baby girl, we can look tomorrow, alright?" Harley nodded, a big smile on her face.

The next morning.

J pulled a smiling and giddy Harley into his lap, kissing her on the cheek

"Let's see what you want, Baby."

After a while of looking and researching on Joker's office computer, Harley found the perfect tattoo.

Harley couldn't stop herself from squealing with delight while J printed out the stencil.

She decided that she wanted "ROTTEN" spelled out on her jaw, but she also wanted her first tattoo to be special, so she asked Joker to use his handwriting for it. She always loved his handwriting style, it was very unique, and she had never seen any handwriting prettier.

J had explained to her that most designs she wanted to get were very complex, and since this would be her first tattoo, she should get smaller one, both so she could get used to the pain in a setting where it wouldn't take lots of time, and to make sure she likes tattoos on herself before getting a bigger, more noticeable one.
