"Harls!" "Yeah!"
Joker was looking around his and Harley's shared closet to get some extra space, when he found a box with 'Harleen' written on it in black sharpie.
"I think this box is yours!"A few minutes later Harley came into their bedroom, giving J a quick hello kiss.
"I don't know what's in it but it has your old name on it so i thought you'd want to look through it," J said, placing the box down on the bed beside her. "I think it's just stuff from my old apartment i didn't know what to do with," Harley responded, opening the box and starting to look through it. "Yep, old glasses, notebooks, psychology books, just a bunch of boring shit.""Doll, who's Makayla?" Harley quickly looked up at him.
"Huh?""This photo album has Makayla on it," J said, handing Harley the album. "Oh, Makayla...yeah, she's my ex. We can just throw that away." "Okay."
Harley blinked in surprise, then looked at him as if she was waiting for something. "Really?" she whispered, confusion clear on her face. "Are you okay, Princess?""Well, I know somethings gonna come, like, 'that's hot' or that she should come over, some shit like that," she said uncomfortably.
J was taken aback by her answer. "Baby..What are you talking about, why would I say that?""Because that's what every single other guy said when they found out that I like women too!"
Joker just barely noticed a little tear slip down her cheek. "Oh, Baby, come here." he sat down on the bed and opened his arms for her. She quickly crawled into them, hiding her face in his shoulder. "Shh, it's okay, Baby. I love you and the fact that you like women too is absolutely okay. We both love each other, right?" Harley nodded. "Then that's all that matters. What those men said to you is sick and inexcusable. I would never say such objectifying things to you, okay. You do not need to worry."
Harley removed her face from his shoulder and kissed him. "I-I love you so much, Puddin." "I love you too, Darling."
-
Three Days later.
-
Harley had forgotten about what had happened a few days ago, neither of them had thought or said anything about Makayla. it was all in the past and Harley had thrown away the album. The woman meant nothing to her. The end of their relationship was rough and hurtful, Harley just wanted to forget about her.Harley was currently laying on her and J's shared bed, looking through some magazine of a jewellery store to see if there was anything valuable enough to steal.
She heard J walk into the room and looked up from the magazine with a smile. "Hi. Puddin."
J looked at her and smiled. "Hi, Baby. I have something for you."
Harley realised that he was hiding something behind his back. "What have you done," She said with a small laugh.
"Okay, I do not want you to feel unaccepted in this household or relationship," J began. "So, I got you a flag," he finished with a smile, revealing a bisexual pride flag from behind his back."Oh my god, J, you didn't need to get this," Harley beamed happily, gently taking the flag from him. "I wasn't a hundred percent sure what your flag was, it sounded like this one but if it's wrong I can get you a different one."
"I-It's the right one, Puddin, thank you," Harley assured, still smiling from ear to ear. "Okay, you can put it wherever you want, in here, downstairs, I don't mind."
A couple of hours later, They had the bisexual pride flag hung up on the wall behind their bed.

That night
-
Harley couldn't stop staring at the flag hung up behind their bed. If she had asked any of her ex-boyfriends if she could hang her flag in their house they'd probably say something along the lines of "No, you're with me. Stop trying to bring your homosexuality into our straight relationship."She didn't think that J would be homophobic, but all the guys she had been with in the past were either repulsed by it or liked it way too much so she didn't know what to expect.
Harley looked to J, who was scrolling through his phone with his free hand, his other arm wrapped around her."Puddin?" "Hm.
Harley smiled at him, a happy little light in her eyes."Ya know how usually older men are most likely to be homophobic?"
J looked at her curiously and nodded, wondering what she was going to say."Well, you're by far the oldest man I've been with and you've been the most accepting."
J smiled. "I'm willing to look past the fact that you just called me old."
"You know I didn't mean it like that," Harley giggled. "I'm sure you did not.""I still can't believe what those boys said to you," J muttered. He was genuinely disgusted by the fact there's people out there that say those things. "Honestly, that's not even the worst things that they said." J sighed to himself. "Do I even want to know?" "Probably not."
"You're safe with me, Baby. don't ever feel like you need to hide this away," J reassured, tightening his arm around her protectively. "A truly accepting man wouldn't say any of those horrible things to you."
"I wouldn't say any of those horrible things to you."

It's on prime video for free with ads or you can buy or rent it without advertisements. If you follow me on Tiktok you've probably seen me obsessing over it a few times:)
