I crawled into Sam's bed covering myself in his blankets that smelled of his scent.
"What are you doing?" He asked
"I don't want to sleep alone anymore." I whispered
He hummed looking up the ceiling.
"Why did they do that? And why would they want me?"
"Colby has a long history with them, a story for a different time and they want you because they see you as our weakness." He said looking at me
"What would happen if they do take me from you guys?" I asked now full of questions
"I don't think they will."
"Why not?"
"Colby won't let them take you and if they do he wouldn't stop searching for you, he already ruined your life he's not gonna let someone else do it too."

Sam
Nellie went on with different questions before she fell back asleep, I slowly got out of bed going to the kitchen seeing Colby sitting on the bar stool trying to change the gauze.
"Stop, let me do it." I said walking over to him
"Is she sleeping?" He asked
I nodded tapping the gauze on "Yeah after asking what the hell was going on."
"We can't stay here anymore." Colby said "They know where we are and could come back anytime."
He was right but with Nellie in a different state of mind, she'll be scared everywhere we go and once she's at her breaking point, she'll tell anyone what happened.
"You sure?" I asked
He nodded.
"Can't we stay for a few more days?" I asked
He shrugged his shoulders.
Colby always does that when he wants to avoid the question or just doesn't want to answer it.
"Just for Nellie, we've been keeping her inside we gotta show her the different places here or just drive around." I pleaded knowing he'll say yes to that
"Fine just let her keep sleeping."
And now he was going to finally be nice to her.
