MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 6

Canteen.

Two weeks has passed and we became very busy. I was elected as one of the student council. I also became a member of the music, dance and other different clubs. I didn't audition though, the dean had chosen me to became a part of all the clubs.

Well, I don't care. They will get what they want anyway, so, why bother resist or take down their offer?

It's good to have a past time anyway.

"Mikki or Ivan should be the student council President, I can't believe it! Mas mataas pa ang boto niyo sa na elect na president e. Bakit ba member lang ang sinalihan ninyo?"

"Mrs Bartolome just forced us, right Miss Vice?" sabi nung President.

I dunno why he always bother himself to include me in his conversation. I just ignored him.

"Teka nga, matanong ko lang, Ivan, are you pursuing Mikki again? Just like the old times?" tanong ng laging katabi ni Lea.

"Hans, may bago pa ba? We all know na uhaw sa kaibigan yan, pwede na nga yang tumakbo bilang Presidente ng Pilipinas sa pagiging friendly." they laughed.

I just shrugged.

I silently ate my lunch when Kerr came over and sat down beside me.

"Im so hungry" he said.

Tumahimik ang lahat.

"Kerr, where have you been? Two weeks kitang hindi nakita tapos para kang kabute na bigla na lang susulpot" Sabi ni Lea.

"Chill Lea, namiss mo namana agad ako. Inasikaso ko lang yung papers ko, uuwi na din ako mamaya" mabilis niyang tinapos ang pagkain niya tapos tumayo na siya. "I have to go, may klase pa ko. See ya later sabay na tayong umuwi sa bahay. Bye!" then he gave me a peck on my cheek.

Everyone looked shocked except for Lea.

"Sabay uuwi sa bahay?" Are you living together?" tanong nung girl na laging may clip na ribbon na araw araw iba iba ang kulay.

"Woah! Say no please say no!" The guy who kissed my knuckles.

I told you I'm not good at recognizing people's name but I do remember their actions when they do something on me. Or anything that's worth remembering.

"That tells why.." the President smirked at me.

"What do you mean Ivan?"

But he didn't answer na. He just shrugged.

Napailing ako.

I know Lea wouldn't say anything, she wanted me to clarify things, but neither will I and she also knows that. No one is asking, if they do, they're just curious, not really caring.

I stood up on my seat. I already finished my foods.

"Excuse us guys" Lea followed me.

"I don't really get it" sabi niya nung makalayo kami. "Bakit hindi mo sinagot yung tanong?" tapos bigla siyang tumawa.

She's not normal that's why she is my friend.

Sa classroom.

"Mikki!" sigaw nung lalaking humalik dati sa kamay ko. "Sorry kanina, naoffended ka ba? Don't worry, hindi ako judgemental na tao kaya hindi ako makikinig sa chismis"

What is he talking about?

Everything that happens around me was like a bubble that will just burst after a second it came out. What happened earlier is nothing to me anymore. It didn't even bothers me. Im used to it. Im always misundertood by everyone anyways.

"Nate, bumalik ka na sa room mo, magkaklase na kami"

"Pero Ivan"

"Gusto mong magcut? Sige walang problema sakin kaya lang hindi ako sigurado kung safe ka sa detention"

"Psh!" tumayo yung guy at umalis na. Pumalit naman sa kanya ang President.

"I really don't like you playing and fooling around. Kissing in public is prohibited Miss Vice, pero palalagpasin ko yun. Warning na lang muna." 

Hindi ako sumagot. I've never done anything wrong. What about kissing this time? Who kissed in public?

I could only shake my head.

He's really weird.

Natapos ang klase. Maingay na naman. I hate noises. Tumayo na ko at lumabas ng classroom.

"Princess!" I saw Kerr and Lea. "Let's go"

I nodded.

All eyes's on us.

"I hate how they're looking on us" Kerr murmured.

"And I love it! Let's just indulge this moment that they're appreciating our beauty!"

"Dream on Lea, dream on"

"Panira ka talaga!"

Napailing na lang ako. They're always like that.

Habang naglalakad kami sa hallway, nakita kami ng grupo na palaging sumasabay samin pag lunch.

"Sila Lea o! Lea! Mikki!" someone shouted.

"Too loud" Kerr murmured while pouting.

"Guys!" Lea shouted back.

"Uwi na kayo?"

"Yeah. San kayo?"

"Ewan, naghahanap pa kami ng place kasi ayaw pa namin umuwi, friday naman kasi at wala kami pare-parehong klase bukas"

"I have an idea. Wanna go with us? Sa bahay, since wala din naman kaming gagawing tatlo" Lea suggested.

Napailing ako.

She's inviting these people in my house without getting my approval. Tss.

"No way!" palag ni Kerr.

"Problema mo?" mataray na tanong ni Lea.

"Tss"

"Call kami dyan! Kasama ka ba Mikki?"

Tumingin silang lahat sakin.

Erm. It's my house.

"Ofcourse! Sasama kami, kung saan si Lea nandun kami!" sagot ni Kerr.

I just shrugged.

"Great. So, let's go?" pumunta na kaming lahat sa parking.

"Sundan niyo lang kami. Kapag nawala yung kotse namin sa paningin niyo tawagan niyo lang ako. Dun kami sa Ayala"

"Wow! Hindi ko naisip na ganito ka kayaman Lea! Ito yata yung pinakamalaking bahay dito sa subdivision niyo."

"Hindi naman samin to, sa Tita ko to, yung bestfriend ng Mommy ko. Nakikitira lang ako kasi ginagawa pa yung bahay namin. Dyan lang sa tapat." Lea chuckled. "Tara pasok sa loob"

Tuloy tuloy ako sa stairs.

"Mikki where are you going?"

"Why are you asking? Pupunta na siya sa kwarto niya" si Kerr ang sumagot.

"Huh? Dito ka din nakatira?"

Nagtataka silang lahat, I just shrugged.

"We're living here together" sagot ni Kerr.

Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at hinila paakyat ng hagdan.
