MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 21

“Pagkapunta natin sa the ruins, kakain muna tayo sa JT tapos diretso na sa airport.” sabi ni Lea habang nagsusuklay ng buhok.

“We'll gonna eat first” sabi ni Kerr na nakasubsob pa sa kama niya.

I already finished fixing myself. It's already 11 am, we were supposed to go to the ruins at 8am pero hindi kami nagising. We're all suffering from hangover. Yes, I also had hangover even though I only drink one and a half can of beer.

I sighed.

“Where are you going Miks?” tanong ni Lea.

“I need fresh air” then I went out.

I sat on one of the benches.

I still have headache.

“Drink this” someone is giving me something. “Para sa hangover”

I just looked at him and grabbed the small bottle and drunk it as he said.

I leaned my back against the chair and closed my eyes. I felt him sitting beside me, but I did not bother look at my side. He doesn't speak, so am I. We're just quietly sitting when his squad came and Lea and Kerr at the same time.

“Let's go?” Tanong ni Lea.

I nodded and stood up. I saw Kerr carrying my baggage.

“Samin na kayo sumabay, tutal pare-pareho naman tayo ng pupuntahan saka nagrent kami ng van” the guy who kissed my knuckles said.

They agreed.

We went to JT's first to have our lunch. Then went to the ruins.

“Wow! Ang ganda!” Lea exclaimed.

We took pictures. That's all.

“I'm Greg” that guy offered his hand on me out of the blue.

I stared at his hand whilst frowning.

“I'm a keen observer and based on my observation, you're not good at names. So, I'm introducing myself to you”

“I'll still forget your name, so it's nonsense” I said.

“I'm telling you, you wont forget my name”

I arched my eyebrows. Can he do that?

“You try” I said and accepted his hand.

“If I made you remember my name, we'll be friends”

I nodded and he smiled.

“Greg!”

“Miks! Lika na!” sigaw ni Lea.

Binitawan ko na ang kamay niya at lumapit na kay Lea.

I saw Mr. President staring at me like asking something but I shrugged it off.

“Oy, ano yun ha? Bakit kayo magkaholding hands ni Greg? Bago yan a”

I told her what he said.

“Talaga? Wow, I should give him some tips”

I just shook my head and shrugged.

Lea really wants me to expand my friend list. We left the place. We left Bacolod. Now we're home.

“Hay. Nakakapagod. Matutulog na ko, and please don't disturb me!” sabi ni Lea.

Hindi na kami nagdinner.

Monday.

Nothing's changed. They're still gossiping. But I don't care.
