MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 27

Rumors had spread.

They say, I was the reason of Ella being admitted in the hospital. Tsk.

"Have you watched the video?" Lea asked.

I shook my head and she handed me her phone. But before I could extend my hand, Kerr grabbed it immediately.

"What the hell Kerr? Let her watch it!"

"No. Ako muna" Kerr said.

I sighed.

I sat on the couch and waited for Kerr to finished watching the video. Then after a few minutes, he gave it to me.

The video was so short that it just has the last part where I left Ella and she passed out that time when I already had turned my back at her. I didn't know. I shook my head. They judged me easily. They'd concluded just because of this without thinking what happened first. Tsk.

"Wala talaga silang magawang matino" Kerr gritted his teeth.

Kerr is really overprotective and I'm thankful for that.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tao nga naman. Yaan mo na, just ignore them." Lea sat beside me. "Ang chismis parang gutom, lilipas din yan"

I shook my head.

I only have really few friends but I'm blessed because that few are the realest. And I'm grateful for that too.

My phone's ringing.

It's saturday. I'm not expecting any call from my sister nor her boyfriend. Mom and Dad isn't out of the house, though.

"Hindi mo ba kukunin man lang ang phone mo at tignan kung sinong tumatawag?" Lea raised her eyebrow.

I just shrugged.

Lea stood up and fished my phone.

"Sino to?" she answered it.

"Haler?" Lea frowned. "Tss, bahala ka nga dyan!" then she ended the call.

"Matagal na bang tumatawag sayo yun?" she asked me.

"Slight"

"Tsk. Tsk. Iblock mo na kaya, o kaya magpalit ka na ng number"

"Dad doesn't like the idea, though"

"Yeah right. Iblock mo na lang. Baka stalker mo yun!"

I shrugged.

"Sinong stalker?" Kerr interfered.

"Nothing" I said.

Kerr would just overreact if he'd knew. And Lea knew that too.

"Saan ka pupunta?" tanong ni Lea kay Kerr.

"Business" he said before he bid his goodbye.

"Business daw. Duda ko dun." Lea murmured.

I ignored her.

I went to my study room and read books.

I didn't noticed the time. I just heard Lea's calling outside the room. I opened the door but there's no Lea out there. I heard her voice again, I went to the window and I saw her outside the house.

I frowned.

She's holding a puppy. A fluffy puppy, though. I shook my head. I don't like puppies.

"Ang cute no? Lika baba ka dito!" Lea shouted.

She knew I'm not into animals.

"O, sige, ako na lang aakyat dyan!" then she ran inside the house.

"Miks! Open the door!" Lea shouted again.

I didn't flinched.

I don't like puppies, most especially I don't like them inside my room. Lea knew it but I can't understand why is she insisting. Tss.

"Haynako! Ang KJ talaga. Just go downstairs na lang if you change your mind"

I sighed.

She's too loud.

I stayed inside my study for an hour until I got bored. I opened the door and that fluffy puppy welcomed me, wiggling its tail, ears down and tongued out while looking at me with adorable doe eyes, as if waiting for me to come out.

It's cute, though.

I sighed and left that puppy. I walked downstairs and saw Lea, talking over the phone.

"Miks!" she shouted.

"I'm just near you, no need to shout" I said frowning.

"He he he. Nasaan si Cutie?" she asked.

I frowned. Who's cutie?

"The puppy!"

"The fluffy puppy? Upstairs" I replied.

"Oh, you let him in na to your room?"

"No"

"Why so harsh?"

"I don't like animals"

"Not before"

"Whatever"

She ignored my remarks and paid attention on the phone.

I shook my head.

I went to the kitchen to get some drink and went back upstairs. I saw that fluffy puppy again. I wonder where did it came from. The fluffy puppy was planking on the floor. He waved his tail and ears down again after seeing me.

It's really cute, though.

I sighed.

I passed him by but he stood up and followed me as I've entered my room.

Tss. How to shoo a fluffy puppy?

I can't think of any ways to make him get out of my space so I let him stay for now. He planked again and just watched me. Whenever our eyes met, he'll make his ears down and wiggle his tail.

Tss.

"Miks! Nawawala si Cutie-- Oh!" Lea stopped when the fluffy puppy jumped and barked at her.

"Cutie!" Lea ran into him "You let him in huh"

Tss. I ignored her.

"Let's go shopping"

"I don't like"

"Ipasyal na lang natin si Cutie"

I ignored her. Waste of time. But then she dragged me and I can't do anything about it. We went to the park where me and Ella met. Lea let the fluffy puppy run freely. I sat down on one of the benches and watched Lea plays with the fluffy puppy. I feel like someone's looking at me so I looked around.

Then I saw him. Looking over me while hugging a girl.
