CHAPTER 46

Mikki's POV

I don't talk to strangers. But Lance isn't a stranger anymore.

The moment he let himself stumbled and have gotten wounds and bruises just to save me was the moment i considered him as my acquaintances. So, being his friend wont hurt a butt. And he's quiet entertaining for being stupid too.

"I like stupid people though" i blurted out before i drink my last shot.

Im tipsy. I looked at him and smiled. I shook my head and averted my gaze to open another can of beer and handed it to him.

"I like you" i said and i mean it.

I stared at him and creased my forehead when i saw him looked so shocked.

Why is he so shocked? It's normal to like a friend. He even told me that before. And it didn't shocked me like he do.

"Y-you like me?" he asked.

"Yeah" i shrugged. "Friends likes each other"

"Ah.. sabi ko nga" he murmured.

I tilted my head but i decided to ignore what he's said.

"You're sleeping here?" i asked.

He immediately stood up and gathered all the empty cans we used and went to the kitchen. He cleaned my mess and offer a hand on me but i shook my head and stood up without needing his help.

Im just tipsy not drunk, i can still stand straight.

"Tss. Matulog ka na, aalis na ko. Ako nang magsasara ng gate. Lock the door pagkalabas ko, please" he said and walked out.

I was left dumbfounded. Then shook my head and smirked in disbelief.

He's weird.

I went to my room and clean up before i throw myself in bed.

I immediately passed out.

Morning.

I woke up with a throbbing head. Hangover. I sat on the edge of my bed and massaged my temple. It's annoying

I took a shower and went downstairs after fixing myself.

"Good morning anak!" mom greeted.
She looked so happy, i wonder why.

"Sembreak na, anong plano niyo?" she asked.

"Nothing" i said as i took my seat across her.

"Bakit naman wala, you have to explore the Philippines"

I just shrugged and didn't answer. I don't want to travel, i just wanna rest for the whole vacation.

"So it's settled then. We're going to Amanpulo!" Mom excitedly exclaimed.

I shook my head and sighed.

"When?" i have to asked since i don't have a choice.

"Tomorrow, magpapabook na ko ngayon ng tickets at hotel na tutuluyan natin"

"K" i uninterestedly said.

Maycy elbowed me and then laughed.

I just smirked and quietly ate my breakfast.

"Gusto kong sumama!" Lea protest.

She even stumped her feet and about to throw tantrums but my mom had just laughed about it and says she can't join us.

"Why?" i asked.

"Lea's parents has also a plan for them"

"Talaga po tita?"

"Oo, sa Baguio daw kayo"

"Really?! Wow!" she clapped her hands but suddenly stopped. "Wait, how about cutie?" she creased her forehead.

"Cutie? Yung aso mo Mikki? Im sorry, pero hindi mo siya pwedeng isama"

"Iwan mo kaya kay Ivan muna?"

I sighed. That fluffy puppy can stay here, maids can take care of him.

"Puntahan mo na siya ngayon, di ba bukas na ang alis niyo?" Lea suggested.

She's always been doing this to me since before i don't even remember when it has started. Tss.

"What are you waiting for?'" she arched her eyebrows and widened her eyes on me.

"Psh" i rolled me eyes. Can't help it.

I've heard her chuckled as i walk upstairs.

This is my first time to drive my car with a pet sitting on the passengers. It's weird.

I frowned.

I stopped the car in front of Lance house. Unbuckled my seatbelt and emerged the car. I pressed the doorbell and waited for it to open.

"Mikki?" Lance asked.

He blinked twice and rubbed his eyes. I creased my forehead and crossed my arms over my chest.

"A-anong ginagawa mo dito?" he then asked.

I pointed my car and his eyes followed it before he looked back at me while frowning.

"Sayo muna" i said.

He looked confused. "Yung kotse mo? Paano ka uuwi?"

I shook my head and held his wrist and dragged him to my car. I open the door and a bark welcomed us.

"Cutie?" he said and stared at me, still looked confused.

Slow.

"Sayo muna" i repeated.

He lifted the fluppy puppy.

"Bakit? Aalis ba kayo?" he asked without looking at me.

I nodded. Don't care if he didn't saw it.

"Kukunin ko siya pagbalik namin"

"When?"

I shrugged and went to the driver's. I hopped inside and beeped before leaving.

"Pack your things, we're leaving in an hour" mom said.

I did as i have been told. I gathered all the things i needed and packed.

"Ready?" Mom asked as i went downstairs with my luggage. They're all waiting for me.

I nodded.

A gentle but frigid air welcomed us, as we stepped our feets outside the car. The sounds of waves of the sea soothing my ears when we reached the resort. We entered our suit and i immediately scooped my cam and told them i want to go outside. Maycy accompanied me.

We walked over the pure pine white sands with our barefoots, holding our flipflops in our hands and a camera on the other. My eyes filled in amusement as i've faced the view, the vivid color of red and orange scattered in the sky is against the clear blue water sea and a setting sun at the center is breathtaking. It calms me, i feel so relax just by looking at it.

I smiled after i took some shots and felt contented.

Me and Maycy enjoyed the serendipity that has given to us. We just went back to our suit when dark filled the whole place.

"Dinner" dad said the moment we entered the room and went outside again.

"The Sy's are here, they're joining us on dinner, hope you two don't mind" Dad said.

I stopped for a while. I creased my forehead, i pursed my lips and heaved a sigh.
