MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 83

I woke up early. 3:30AM to be exact. Pababa na ko ng hagdan ng makasalubong ko si Nanay Lotty.

"Ang aga mo naman nagising Ivan? Di ba bakasyon niyo na ngayon?"

Nagtataka akong tumitig kay Nanay Lotty. Shoot! Oo nga pala! How did I forgot about it? Ugh! Nasapo ko na lang ang noo ko.

"Nakalimutan mo? Hala, bumalik ka na sa kwarto mo at matulog ulit. Napakaaga pa" dahan dahan na niya akong tinulak pabalik sa kwarto ko.

I sighed and shook my head. Nahiga ako sa kama ko at pumikit, pero hindi na ko inaantok. So, I just grabbed my phone and texted Mikki a good morning. Hindi naman ako umaasa sa reply niya dahil madaling araw pa lang. But to my surprised, my phone beeped minutes after I sent her a message and placed my phone on my bedside table.

From: My Girlfriend <3

Morning

I instantly smiled upon reading her reply. Hindi ko naman inaasahan na gising na pala siya so I immediately dialed her number.

And again, for a second time, I was surprised when she answered my call in just one ring.

["Yes?"]

I bit my lips after I heard her voice. She never really said hello since she started answering my calls. But I don't mind, basta ba sagutin niya lagi ang tawag ko, ayun naman ang pinakaimportante.

"Good morning" I greeted again.
"Bakit gising ka na?" tanong ko.

Sandaling katahimikan. I was about to repeat my question but I was cutted off when I've heard her sighed on the other line.

"Mikki?" I frowned.

["Im here outside your house"]

Hindi agad nagregister sa utak ko ang sinabi niya. "H-ha?"

["Labas ka"] sagot ni Mikki.

Napabangon ako bigla. Seriously? Tumingin muna ako sa bintana then I saw a royal blue mini cooper parked in front of my house. I immediately ran downstairs. I was panting when I reached the gate of our house and opened it. Mikki stepped out of the car. She's wearing a plain blue shirt, jeans and sneakers. So simple yet beautiful.

Mabilis akong lumapit sa kanya para yakapin siya. Kahit ang tagal namin magkasama kagabi namiss ko pa rin si Mikki. I nuzzled my nose at the crook of her neck. Seryoso, gusto ko na talagang tumira dito. Ang bango bango kasi ni Mikki.

I smiled at the thought.

Hindi naman nagtagal at nilayo niya ko sa kanya at inabot sakin ang hawak niya. Orange.

My brows furrowed in confusion. "Orange?" nagtatakang tanong ko.

I examined it pagkakuha ko nito sa kamay ni Mikki. Wala namang kahit ano. Mikki scowled at me like, what-are-you-exactly-doing look. I frowned as I stared at her. "Why are you giving me an orange?" I asked innocently.

A small smile curved on her lips. "Wait for me. Okay?" she said instead of answering my question.

Mas lalo lang akong naguluhan sa sinabi niya kaya hindi agad ako nakasagot. She stepped forward without breaking our eye contact, then in just a snap, her lips crashed into mine. It's just a smack but it lasted for like three seconds, i think. But it brought swirls and riot in my stomach, heart thumping and a blush to my face. So gay.

I bit my lips as I stared at her with an obvious shocked and surprised registered on my face.

"I have to leave now, but i'll be back" she whispered as she hugged me tightly.
