Mikki's POV

Butterflies in stomach and fast heartbeat. When you felt it, goodluck. You're getting there!

I closed the book. I laid my back against my bed and closed my eyes.

Butterflies in stomach? I shook my head.

Fast heartbeat? I shook my head again.

Safe.

Ivan's POV

I cupped my chin using my palm. I decided, i will fight against the awkwardness im feeling whenever i saw Mikki. Kaya ngayon, nandito ako sa tapat niya at pinagmamasdan ang kagandahan niya. I smiled.

"Ivan, lusaw na si Mikki" Lea chuckled.

Hindi ko siya pinansin at hindi ako nagpatinag. Namiss ko rin to, sana lang tumingin din siya. Hays.

"Miks.."

Nawala bigla ang ngiti ko nang makita ko si Mr. Sy. Mikki looked up and frowned when she saw Mr. Sy.

"Can we talk?" asked Mr. Sy.

Mikki sighed then closed the book and stood up. Lumabas siya at sumunod sa kanya si Mr. Sy.

I stood up but Lea grabbed my hand to stop me. I looked at her and she shook her head. "Let them, they just need to talk" she said.

I sighed and slumped back on my chair.

"Don't worry, Mikki can take care of herself" sabi ni Lea.

I shook my head. "I can take care of her, so she doesn't need to do that to herself" i said.

I heard Lea chuckled but abruptly stopped when Hans sat across us.

"I have to go" she said then left without glancing at us.

I frowned and looked at Hans who looks serious. He placed something in front of me. I picked the photocard to clearly see the picture. It was me and Camille, sitting side-by-side and laughing. It was taken at the beach, as i remembered, that was just last year. I think.

"What's wrong with it?" i asked. I don't get why he suddenly came here to showed me this.

"Read the quote at the back" he said.

My brows furrowed but i did what i'd told. I flipped the photocard.

"The happiest place isn't somewhere you have to spend your money with, the happiest place is where you just sit contentedly, beside the man you love"

I immediately looked at Hans. He looked away, his jaw hardened. "Bakit ikaw pa?" he asked.

I heaved a sigh. Im still on the state of shock. Never I imagined all along, it's me she's been talking about. The man that she's been secretly in love with.

"Earth to Ivan!" sigaw ni Lea sa tabi ko.

"Im sorry, ano ulit yun?" tanong ko.

Pinagtaasan niya ko ng kilay at nagcross arms. "What are you thinking? Naging ganyan ka na pagkatapos kitang iwan sa library" she said.

I smiled at her and shook my head. I wouldn't tell it to eveyone unless Camille will do. I respect her. Sinabi naman niya dati na wala siyang balak umamin, at aksidente lang na nakita ni Hans ang picture nung mahulog ito galing sa libro ni Camille. Hays.
