MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 17

"She's crazy! Dapat dinadala na siya sa mental! I can't believe na siya pa ang student council president!" sabi ni Lea habang naglalakad kami papunta sa parking.

"Ako nang bahala kay Maycy, ihahatid ko na siya, pumasok na kayo Princess malelate ka na" sabi naman ni Kerr.

I shook my head.

"I'll just cut my class" lahat sila nagulat.

"You sure?" tanong ni Kerr, I nodded.

"Teka, Mikki, you dont need to do that. I can take care of myself!" protesta ni Maycy.

I shook my head saka sumakay sa kotse ni Kerr na si Mikay.

"Just let her, she's just worried" narining ko pang sabi ni Kerr kay Maycy bago sila sumakay.

Nakarating kami sa bahay ni Maycy at ginamot ko ang mga sugat niya.

"I've always been wanted to be taken care by you like that. Minsan nga naiisip kong magpabugbog magamot mo lang ang mga sugat ko" sabi ni Kerr while watching us.

Napailing na lang ako.

"Aw! Malala ka na bro!" sabi ni Maycy.

"Maybe?" then he laughed.

I just sighed.

I don't get it.

We just stayed there until dinner and decided to go home when Lea called and told us to go home because she's all alone.

"You know what? Why dont you asked her to stay in your house? It's hard to live alone" sabi ni Kerr while driving.

"Mom will surely do that when they come back"

He just nodded.

Nakauwi na kami at nagkwento lang si Lea ng nangyari pag-alis namin. Sofia was taken by the guards nung nagwala daw siya at nanghablot ng ibang estudyante. I just shook my head. Maybe she has a mental problem or is she that obssesed with Kerr?

I went to my room and did my things. I received a text message coming from the unknown number again. The same from the last.

From: Unregistered Number

Are you okay?

Hindi ko na lang pinasin at natulog na ko.

Morning.

Too crowded.

"Ano na naman kayang meron?" tanong ni Lea.

I just continued walking and I'm not surprised when I heard my name and saying something about me.

"Feeling perfect. Nakikisabay lang naman kay Kerr, psh. Hindi na nahiya"

"O did you heard na sinabi ng isa sa mga classmates niya na kaya daw siya bumalik dito sa Philippines dahil nabankrupt yung business nila, in short, naghihirap na siya! Oh gosh! What a shame right!"

"Tsk!" I heard Lea, "They should know the meaning of whisper. Mag-chichismisan na lang, yung maririnig pa ng pinagchichismisan" iiling iling na sabi ni Lea.

I just shook my head.

I dont care. They don't know the truth and I don't have time to say the truth either.

Lunch.

They are still looking at me with disgust in their faces. Those spoiled brats.

"Haynako!" biglang nagsalita si Lea. Mr Pres and his friends looked at her kasama si Ella.

"Busog naba kayo kakatitig kay Mikki?" tanong niya.

They've been shocked and placed their glances on their foods.

Guilty.

"Oh, come on Lea! We're just curious. Why Mikki didn't react on the gossips?" Ella asked.

"She simply doesn't care"

"Really? O baka naman it's either ayaw niyang sabihin ang totoo or ayaw niyang iconfirm kung totoo? Which is right Mikki?" she looked at me as if waiting for my answer but I just shrugged.

I dont talk to people about my private life.

"Speak up, aren't we friends?" dagdag pa niya.

"You know we're not," sabi ko directly then ignored them.

Silence.

Bumalik kami sa kanya kanyang klase.

Boring subject.

Dismissed.

Kerr and Lea texted me that they will be late and wait for them to come back here in school to fetch me.

I sighed.

I have no choice. I have to stay at the library. I just did my assignments and read something when SC President interrupted me.

"Glad you're alone" she said and lean on the table.

I shook my head. I thought she's suspended.

"I already know the truth. Bakit ayaw mong sabihin ang totoo?"

I didn't answer. I ignored her and continued reading instead.

"Im talking to you!" she hissed.

If she continue shouting mapapalabas siya.
So, I continue ignoring her.

"Mikki Gale Torres, the only daughter of Alyssa and Marco Torres the owner of Torres Group of company, the leading business corporation in the U.S. You said that you're here dahil na bankrupt kayo, but based on my research, never nagdown ang sales ng company niyo imbes lalong tumataas. You lied to us, why did you do that? To gain attention?"

I looked at her and raised my eyebrows "Like I care"

She rolled her eyes.

"This is nonsense. Wala naman akong mapapala kung ikaw ang aawayin ko. You're so boring, buti pa si Maycy masarap awayin. Oh, I get going na. Bye!" she stood up and left me.

I shook my head. She's crazy.

I received a texted message from Lea. They're waiting for me at the car park.

Tumayo na ko at pumunta sa shelf to bring back the book. But I stopped for awhile and frowned.

I saw Mr. President and Ella kissing at the corner.
