Maycy smiled at me. So I did the same.

Bakit ko nga ba hindi naisip na ang Torres Corp ang pagmamay-ari nila Mikki?

My parents and Maycy's parents exchanged pleasentaries.

"Have a seat"

We took our seats and the waiters started serving our foods.

Magkatabi kami ni Maycy.

"So, this is my daughter Maycy Torres. Im sorry that our second daughter can't make it today."

"Second daughter?" Mom asked.

"Yeah. She's Mikki Gale Torres"

"We didn't know you have two daughters. I'm sorry"

"It's okay. Maycy was lost when she's 3 and only few people knows that, probably a family and closest friends."

My parents nodded and they changed the topic.

"This is my only son. Ivan Lance. Maycy, where are you studying?" tanong ni Dad.

"Grand University po. My boyfriend and Ivan are friends, so, we already knew each other"

"That's good to hear. Why didn't you mention it before Ivan Lance?"

"Silly me, I didn't know that Maycy's family are the owner of Torres Corp"

I saw how Dad shook his head and Mom raised her perfect eyebrows. They're disappointed. Palagi naman silang disappointed sakin.

"Hindi maiiwasan yan hijo, marami kasing Torres sa Pilipinas. haha" natatawang sabi ng Mommy ni Mikki.

Bakit kaya wala siya? I want to ask pero baka magalit si Dad. Tss.

"Anyways. It's nice to see you both here. We thought na hindi na kayo babalik dito sa pilipinas" mom changed the topic.

"Yeah. We thought so, pero nung makita namin ang anak naming si Maycy, we changed our minds and we want our daughters to bond since literally, hindi sila magkakilala"

I focused on my food. Puro tungkol na sa business ang pinag-usapan nila.

"Hey" napalingon ako sa katabi kong si Maycy. "Hindi mo ba itatanong sakin ang kapatid ko?"

I frowned. Pero tinaasan niya lang ako ng kilay at nag-aabang ng isasagot ko.

I sighed and shook my head. I decided not to ask about her because it's awkward.

"She's in the hospital" sabi nito kahit hindi ko naman tinanong.

"What?" takang takang tanong ko.

I want to know more details. Is she sick? Or what? But I tried to calm myself because my parents are here.

"Binabantayan niya si Kerr. Kaya hindi siya nakapasok kanina. Kagabi pa siya nandun at ayaw niyang umuwi"

Ouch.

Bigla akong nanlumo. Si Kerr. He's really important to her. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at hindi na umimik.

Natapos ang dinner at nagpaalam na kami sa isa't isa.

Nakauwi kami sa bahay at tuluy tuloy lang ako sa kwarto. Wala namang sinabi sila Mom.

I placed my hand on my chest. It's beating abnormally again.

Should I see a doctor? Baka may sakit na ko sa puso.
