MISS NOT PERFECT

CHAPTER 22

I have a problem.

It's not really a big problem but still it's a problem. Since then, it has always been a problem I can't escape.

"So?" Lea asked over the phone.

I'm here at my classroom. No prof.

I sighed.

"Aynako. May solution naman kasi jan, maarte ka lang, oh, may prof na kami, mamaya na lang. Byeyie!"

She hunged up.

I sighed again and leaned on the armchair.

"Problema mo?"

I ignored it kahit na may kumukulbit sakin.

"Good news guys! Wala si Ms Villanueva! Walang klase! Mahaba habang break ito!"

I stood up and immediately went to the Dean's office.

"Dean"

"Mikki, what can I do for you?"

"I quit" I said blankly.

"What?!" napatayo pa ang Dean at parang nagulat.

"I can't do it in front of many people"

"Ikaw na lang ang maaasahan ko Mikki, anong gusto mong gawin ko para hindi ka magquit?"

I shook my head. He sighed.

"Please Gale? This is your father's suggestion. Kakanta ka lang naman"

"No" I shook my head.

"Okay. Yung vice nalang at friends mo ang audience pati ako, dun sa music room. No one except from us can watch you. Is it okay?"

I shook my head.

Balderdash.

"Please, inaanak"

I sighed.

I really don't like showing my hidden talent if you consider it a talent. Tss.

"I want a duet and no audience" I said.

The Dean's sighed dramatically like he felt relieved.

"Okay. Ako at si Kathy lang ang makakanood sayo"

I nodded and bid goodbye.

Tss.

No escape. Another resposibility. Tss.

"Miks!" I saw Lea running. "Saan ka pupunta?"

"Music room" I replied.

"Tutuloy ka na?"

I nodded.

"Oh my gosh! Yes! Sama ko!"

I nodded. I dialed Greg's digit.

Calling Greg..

["Miks?"]

"Need help"

["What is it?"]

"Impromptu duet"

["No prob. Where?"]

"Music room. Now"

Then I hunged up.

"Sino yun?"

I didn't answer, I just shrugged.

Pumasok kami sa music room and locked the door.

"Hi Kathy!" Lea greeted the vice president of the theather club.

"Hi Lea, Mikki.. Are you ready? Nandito na yung partner mo"

"Miks, Lea." he nodded. "Anong kakantahin natin? Tutugtog ba ako ng gitara?"
