CW: sexual innuendos (do I need to keep putting that one? lol)
There was a jump in Roman's step as they left the school. "Today was fun! I liked all the teachers and classes!"
"Except history," Virgil reminded him, making the demon frown.
"Yes, except history. An ignorant person such as that teacher should not be in charge of teaching history."
Virgil hummed as they continued their walk to the bus. "Definitely not one of my favorite teachers."
"Are you two seriously going to take the bus again?" Janus asked, once again sneaking up on them and making Virgil jump.
"You need to stop doing that."
"No, I don't think I will. It's far too amusing to startle you."
Roman frowned when he noticed Remus pouting about something, not looking at anyone. "What's wrong with you?" he asked him.
Janus looked back to the sulking demon. "Oh, he's just upset because we had art for our last class, and he failed to upset the teacher. Everything he made, she complimented him for, somehow."
"It's not fair! All that gore and nothing! Maybe I should make my things more sexual? I'll definitely get her next time!"
Janus barked a laugh. "Good luck. You're gonna end up being the star student in that class."
"No! I don't want positive feedback! I wanna see her curl away in disgust! I want to be her least favorite student!"
"Good luck, the only way that will happen is if you don't do any work at all."
"But that's not fun!"
Virgil rolled his eyes. "Yeah, good luck making Mrs. Amelia hate you then. Hey, at least you'll have a fun challenge for yourself before the end of the year."
Roman chuckled lightly at that, the idea of a teacher falling in love with Remus's work and his brother getting frustrated at it. Now part of him wished he was in their art class, though the other part was thankful he wasn't.
His eye caught the looks of some kids that he recognized though. He frowned, realizing they were the same kids that had asked about Cecil. They seemed nervous, and before Roman turned to them they were obviously looking at him and Remus.
He looked down for a moment before asking, "Hey Remus, do you know those kids over there?" He pointed his thumb at them.
Remus looked over before his face fell. "Yeah, stay away from them."
That made Roman's eyes widen, and Virgil looked over.
"Why?" the human asked. "They're just Cecil's... Oh..."
Janus frowned when he noticed the kids. "Yeah, 'oh.' Both of you should stay away from them, and any other kids Cecil hung out with."
"Wait, but there were only four people when they summoned Roman," Virgil hissed, not wanting to be overheard. "Do they-"
"I'm not talking about it."
"But-"
"No, I'm not getting wrapped up in all this shit again. Just stay away from them, and you'll stay out of trouble." Janus took Remus's hand. "Come on, I want to go home."
Virgil frowned in confusion as the two left. He looked back over to the group of kids, only to realize they were gone. Looking around, he couldn't find them, not a single one. He remembered Roman saying one of them saw him when they asked him about Cecil earlier.
