Virgil held a hand held mirror as he finally put on makeup for the day. He was back in his own bed, Roman staying on the other. It felt so empty, foreign, as if this hadn't been his bed for who knows how long now. His bed felt lonely, like he was on an island by himself. It was going to take time for his relationship with Roman to grow again after this.

He had caught Roman up on everything, except for the kids he almost got in a fight with. He didn't want Roman to worry much more about him. He needed to rest, so no worrying stories.

He put his makeup away and set it all back into his bag. He sighed as he wiped off his hands on his black pants, having gotten some black makeup smudged on his hands. Virgil was thinking of ways to keep Roman from getting hurt ever again. Guess the first thing he could do was change his command.

"Roman, I-I..." He tried to find his words, hating how tongue tied he got while talking to the demon. "You can only kill if there is no other way to protect me, yourself, or anyone else, unless I say otherwise."

Roman smiled at him from the other side of the room. "Thank you, that's less stressful. And I won't kill unless I have to."

Virgil nodded. "Thanks, I appreciate it."

"So... you're going to start working out more?"

The human's face turned red. "Y-yeah... Uh, your brother said he would help me till you woke up. But uh... since you're awake I guess you can help me."

"You guess?" Roman teased.

Rolling his eyes, Virgil's face turned a darker shade of red. "You know what I mean, Prince Droopy Ears."

It was Roman's turn to turn red as he covered his ears. He didn't have enough energy to dare to shape shift back. He pouted and reminded Virgil, "You said you like them."

"They're cute, like a little goat."

"I'm not cute!"

Virgil laughed, "When you said your true form would scare us, I didn't think it would include those ears. And Remus has the same ears?"

"Oh yeah, the only difference between us is he's green and I'm red. If you're red/green color blind, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. We're twins, so it makes sense."

"Not all twins look the same, same for triplets too."

"Maybe for humans, but we're not human, now are we." Roman smiled at him with his red eyes shining. Virgil was starting to really love those slitted eyes, they were pretty, unlike his own black and blue eyes.

"That's true. Do you guys have like, twin intuition or something? Can you read each other's minds?"

"Oh thank hell no, we can't reach each other's minds, not in the way you think. However, we do understand each other best, and can feel each other from far away. I'm guessing Remus appeared shortly after I passed out?" Virgil nodded. "That's because he felt my magic weaken. He would be able to feel it if he wasn't even on Earth. So... in a way I suppose we do have twin intuition, or something."

"But... you can read minds?"

"Yes, that's what I did the first night we met. Don't you remember?"

"Oh, right. But you have to touch my head, don't you?"

"Of course, I had to do that to get into your mind. Even wardens have to do it. Though, I hear their presence is overwhelming in your mind." Roman shuddered. "I don't know how well I would fare if one was in my head..."

"Sounds... scary. I guess there's demons among demons."

Roman barked a laugh. "You could say that again! Remus tried annoying one once, and I had never moved so fast, teleported him to the other side of Hell! I've never let him go to a formal party by himself since."

Virgil chuckled, "Your brother is an enigma. He's reckless and begs to do dangerous stuff, but the whole time you were asleep he was practically throwing food at me and trying to comfort me, in his own way."

"Damn, I really owe him," Roman groaned. "I am pleasantly surprised I woke up a bit earlier than usual. I wonder why that is..."

"I mean... I have a theory but it sounds stupid." Virgil's face started to burn again.

"I would still like to hear, because now I'm curious." Roman leaned back and crossed his arms.

"Well... I-I didn't wanna leave your side the whole time and kinda... laid next to you... But the longer I did the more tired I got." Suddenly he was glad he was telling Roman, since Remus would have held this above his head. As if he didn't already know, he probably already guessed it.

"Oh..." Roman responded, his face filling with shock. Virgil squeezed his hands into fists as the room was filled with awkward silence. "Th-that's... interesting..." Roman turned away so Virgil wouldn't see how red his face was. "I guess... I must have been subconsciously feeding off of your energy. It's rare to happen though, almost never does."

"So I did help?" Virgil seemed to brighten up.

"Yeah, you did, th-thank you."

"I'm glad. I thought the only thing I was doing the whole time was torturing myself with worry."

"You are a ball of anxiety," Roman awkwardly laughed, rubbing his arm. Even he found it hard to talk to Virgil again, though he didn't know why. Maybe it was Virgil's anxious energy rubbing off on him. "I'm... sorry about not telling you about my curse, by the way."

"It's fine, I understand why. You didn't want to worry me, you gotta keep me safe and happy. Sorry I set you up for an impossible task."

"It is worth it whenever I see your smile."

Virgil tried not to let that go to his heart. "You're a real sweet talker, huh? If I didn't know any better, I would say that you were trying to flirt with me."

Maybe you don't know any better. Roman blinked as the thought crossed his mind. He tried to shake it off, but it echoed in the back of his mind, including what it could mean. He tried to play it off. "Well, many humans have fallen for me in the past. Perhaps you've fallen under the spell, after all, all it takes is a simple glance at me."

"You still have goat ears."

Roman made an offended noise. "The same ears you called cute!"

"So you admit they are." Virgil smirked at him.

Another offended noise. "You played me!"

"Like a kazoo."

The demon was going to say something but faltered. "What's a kazoo?"

"Oh ho, you gotta ask Remus that one. That will be entertaining."

"On second thought, being ignorant sounds much better."

A/N: I'm back! However, I won't be posting every day anymore. Instead I'm just going to post whenever I finish a chapter, sorry for the inconvenience!
