CW: sexual innuendos
The next day was definitely not an easy day for anyone. Virgil was indeed allowed to leave the hospital, but first they had asked him his side of the story. Roman helped walk him through the cover story they came up with, though it was hard because for every hole in the story Virgil could only say he didn't know or didn't remember.
Though, the policeman that was asking him these questions didn't seem too interested, at least not as much as Patton and Logan. Both of his parents seemed worried, even Logan though he tried to keep calm.
Virgil found himself wanting to tell them the truth, of angels and demons. But would they want to continue to be his parents if they know? Shouldn't they deserve to know if these kinds of situations keep popping up? Could Virgil ever tell them?
Lying about all of this hurt Virgil, he wanted to tell Logan and Patton the truth. He wanted them to know about Roman and Remus, the cult that had kidnapped him and continue to live in the city.
As much as Virgil loved Logan and Patton, he was jealous of Janus. At least he was jealous of the fact that Remy and Emile both knew about Remus, and they were okay with demons. Patton was Christian though, and most likely wouldn't be okay with Roman being a Prince of Hell.
Somehow, Virgil telling his part of the story was the easiest part of the morning. Leaving the hospital was the hardest part. Virgil had needed help changing out of the hospital gown and into some clothes that Logan and Patton had brought. It was both painful and difficult to get his right arm through the shirt. He was really missing his jacket, it must still be in the room that the angels had taken him to.
Of course once he was dressed, he was moved to a wheelchair. While his blood loss was helped by an IV that was in his arm all night, he was still too weak to walk on his own, so he was grateful for the wheelchair.
They had picked up some strong painkillers for Virgil before they got on the road. Logan drove while Patton was in the back, having Virgil lean on him. During the drive, he fell in and out of sleep, so Patton helped him stay as still and comfortable as possible.
Once the car slowed down and Virgil heard it be put in park, he tiredly opened his eyes. Looking out the window and seeing the house made Virgil's eyes widen. He has seen many houses in his life, but this was definitely the biggest.
"Okay, let's get out of the car now," Patton said, unbuckling himself. Virgil did the same with his left arm, being careful not to hurt his injured one.
Logan grabbed the medicine and went around the other side to Virgil's door. He carefully helped him to his feet, Patton helping once he came around. Virgil's legs felt unsteady, but once he got his balance it was easier.
Patton held onto his good arm to keep him steady in case he tripped walking to the door. Before they reached the door, Emile opened it and gave them a smile, letting them in.
"Hey Virgil, how are you feeling?" Emile asked.
"I mean, I could be better," Virgil replied tiredly.
"Right, sorry, let's get you to bed so you can rest, we already have a room set up for you. Logan and Patton had picked up some clothes for you yesterday."
"Thank you."
"Of course, bud, just follow me. Can you walk up the stairs just fine?"
"Yeah, I think I got it."
"I'll get some water and snacks for you," Patton said. "Can he eat in bed? I'll wash and change the sheets."
"Of course, don't worry!" Emile reassured him. "I'll take care of it, you three just focus on relaxing."
