Remus sighed loudly, "It's so boring now that Virgil and Roman aren't here!"
"Mhm," Janus hummed, typing an essay on a school laptop that he was allowed to take home for school work.
The demon pouted and turned to lay on his stomach, facing Janus. "Janny," he whined, flicking the laptop. "I'm bored. I wanna do something."
"Then do something, not with me though. I need to finish this project, it's due tomorrow. You should work on it too."
"Nah, that pisses off the teacher more, I'll do it all a week before the quarter ends."
"She will call one of your parents."
"I don't have any."
"Exactly. If you're not going to work, then at least stop bothering me."
Remus pouted and didn't do anything for a few seconds before flicking Janus' laptop again. The witch sighed painfully, closing his eyes before opening them to give Remus a piercing glare.
He closed his laptop and sat up, making Remus sit up himself with an innocent smile. Janus grabbed the demon by the shirt and pulled him closer, giving him a kiss. The demon squeaked in surprise and the witch smiled into the kiss.
He pulled back with a satisfied smirk and said, "That should keep you quiet."
Remus pouted more, his face beat red. Janus pulled Remus closer and laid down, grabbing his laptop.
He glanced at him after a moment and chuckled, making the demon's face burn hotter. "I thought your brother was the red demon, not you."
"You're a meanie," Remus whined, hiding his face in Janus's shoulder. Janus reached up and scratched his hair, making the demon purr.
"You're just annoying." Janus pressed a kiss on Remus's head, making the demon whine again. "But I love you."
Remus pushed himself up and away. "Ew you're being sappy!"
"Only for you, and if you ever tell anyone you're a dead man."
"Good thing I'm a demon, not a man."
"I can still kill you."
"Hell will freeze over before that happens."
"Sure, whatever you say." Janus grabbed Remus's arm and pulled him closer. "Just cuddle me."
Remus's face turned red and he pouted more. "Cuddling is boring," he complained, lightly flicking the laptop again.
Janus lightly grabbed his chin, turning him so they were facing each other. The witch stared into the demon's green eyes, his own black eyes looking so soft as he carefully examined Remus. "And yet you're already so flustered. You can barely handle a kiss." Janus kissed him softly again, a small peck to just tease Remus.
The demon tried to glare at Janus in anger, but it turned into another pout. "Just wait until you're old enough."
"Oh honey." Janus's hand traveled to the back of Remus's head, giving him small scratches. "You're the one waiting."
"Ugh, so sappy."
"And you're a broken record when you're like this. Pouting, whining, trying to joke around and be disgusting."
"Kinky!"
"Oh you wish it was, but you couldn't handle it."
"I'm sure I could handle you," Remus shimmied slightly.
Janus wrapped an arm around his waist, making his smile drop instantly as he burned brighter. "Sure..."
"W- n- I-I..." Remus stuttered. Janus laughed and kissed the tip of his nose.
"Now, will you let me get back to my work, little rat?"
Remus snuggled into him, trying to will his blush down. "Fine, only because of the nickname, snakey." He flicked at Janus's earring.
"Hm, you can change into a rat and snuggle in my hat if you want.
"Yes! " the demon cheered, instantly changing into a black and gray rat with messy, bent whiskers. He climbed the pillow that Janus laid against before climbing onto the beanie. He pushed his way inside, readjusting himself so he was peeking out with a small squeak.
Janus reached up and scratched his head between his ears, earning a happy chitter.
"You're so cute," he laughed, and Remus squeaked in protest.

Virgil smiled happily as Buttercup curiously looked around his room. Logan and Patton didn't want her to be on her own at night, and Virgil quickly volunteered to watch her. Hey, even if he was asleep Roman could watch her.
The demon seemed to have fallen in love with her too. Patton had bought some cat toys, one of them being a stick with a bell and feather tied on a string. He moved it back and forth as Buttercup chased after it.
Roman's heart grew brighter every time he could get Virgil to awe in response at Buttercup. The two of them had latched onto Buttercup, and would do anything to protect her.
The kitten ran from the toy in Roman's hand and hid behind Virgil's backpack. She jumped, but ended up falling into the cardboard box that held her other toys.
"Oh dear," Roman laughed, moving to help her out. She hissed playfully and swatted his hand, making Virgil laugh from where he sat on his bed. Roman pretended to gasp in offense, "Oh you little... Okay let's play that game, little miss."
Virgil gasped in surprise as Roman shrunk, turning into a red cat. He climbed onto the side of the box, reaching down and grabbing Buttercup by the scruff of her neck by his teeth. He pulled her out of the box and placed her back on the ground.
Virgil got up from the bed slowly. "Oh my goodness," he whispered, startling Roman as he sat down in front of them. "You're adorable."
The red fluffy cat meowed in protest as Virgil picked him up, but couldn't help but melt into the scratches the human gave him. Virgil petted his red fluffy fur, adoring how soft it was. He reached over to pet Buttercup too, having both cats lean into his touch.
"I love you both," Virgil sighed, listening to the purring that filled the room. He felt so giddy, sitting there with cat Roman on his lap and Buttercup next to him.
Roman's heart fluttered at the words, but he knew Virgil didn't mean it like that. Still... it was hard to be upset while he was being pet, being a cat had its perks.
The demon realized with a start that Virgil was happier now than he has ever been since the day they met. He purred louder as he thought about this... The human had an actual family now, two dads and a kitten. He had friends and was no longer being bullied in school, there were people that cared about him and helped him. It was no wonder he was so happy. He was healing.
Now to make sure nothing bad will happen to him...
