It was a good thing the weather was nice today, since Logan and Patton had taken Virgil to an outdoor café. There weren't that many people there since the weather had been getting colder, but Virgil didn't mind.

The café had a bunch of different sandwiches, so that's what they had for lunch, along with different drinks. Patton had a caffe mocha, Logan had some simple tea, and Virgil just got some pink lemonade.

Roman stood off to the side, trying to keep calm. Virgil didn't blame him for his nervousness, considering according to the demon, they were near the Red Tail's homes. The demons at the school were still there, but no one had made a move yet. Way to make school more stressful.

But right now, Virgil was just trying to relax. As long as Roman was with him, he'll be fine.

"So you're a college professor, right?" he asked Logan.

"Indeed, I'm an astronomy teacher," he answered. "I continue learning about space every day, and I get to teach my students about it!"

"Logan loves the stars," Patton giggled. "They fascinate him. Make gift giving easy, all I have to do is get him something space related."

"That's cool, space is fun, but I find it too confusing," Virgil admitted. "Biology is an easier science."

"Biology can also be very complex. The brain for example, we're still learning new things about it to this day! New studies are being done on it," Logan explained. "It's fascinating!"

"Do you know what you're gonna do when you graduate, kiddo?" Patton asked.

"Oh, um... I don't know," Virgil said, rubbing the back of his neck. "To be honest... I wasn't sure if I would get the chance to graduate. I thought I was going to just age out of the orphanage and get some medium wage job to try to afford living in an apartment or something."

"Well you don't need to worry about that anymore, Logan and I can take care of all your necessities and give you a nice home! And we can even help with student loans if you need it!"

"Indeed," Logan agreed. "So, if you could have any job, what would it be?"

"Um... I guess I would like to do something with kids? I-I know that sounds weird and I don't really look like the kind of person to like kids but just... growing up in the orphanage and helping out a lot made me kinda protective of them."

"That's awesome! You could go down plenty of routes with that! You could be a school teacher, you could run a daycare, a child's therapist, whatever you feel you would do best in!" Patton encouraged.

"Y-yeah?" Virgil tugged at the ends of his hoodie sleeves.

"I think so! You could even help out at the orphanage! Personally, I work with animals better, I'm actually an animal groomer! We get all kinds of animals, but I love dogs best!"

"He's allergic to most cats so he's only allowed to groom the hypoallergenic cats," Logan added.

"They're so cute! I want one!"

"Maybe after the three of us adjust better with each other."

"Do you have a favorite animal?" Patton asked Virgil, and Roman looked over in curiosity.

"I like cats a lot," Virgil said. "They don't need too much attention, they like to be warm and just lay wherever they find comfortable. They're pretty cool."

"I like Siamese cats! Their fur is so cool! And they're hypoallergenic!"

"Yeah, they're neat. But I think black cats are cool."
