"Finally, where were you two?" Remus asked. "Were you fucking in the janitor's closet or something?"
"Roman was sent to the principals," Virgil told them.
"What?!" the green demon sat up straight in his seat, knocking over his milk.
"And an angel tried messing with Virgil," Roman added.
"What?" Janus asked, a bit calmer than Remus but still just as surprised. "What did they do?"
"They tried convincing me that Roman is dangerous, and that I should trust them," Virgil explained. "It didn't work of course, especially since they tried pretending they were a teacher at first and had pulled me away where no one else was."
"Did they hurt you?" Remus asked.
"No, I'm fine. They just made me angry." Virgil hugged his arm closer, grabbing where the angel had touched him. Just the memory of it made a chill go down his spine, if she had had bad intentions...
"But you're fine?" Janus double checked.
"Yes, all she did was try to 'save my soul' or whatever. Then she gave up and said it was too late to save me. It was mostly annoying."
"And all lies, once you make a contract with a demon there is no 'saving your soul.' You're with them for life, and once you die your soul goes to them."
"I shouldn't have left your side," Roman growled. "I just got so angry!"
"What even happened? How did you of all people get sent to the principal's office? I haven't even been sent there yet!" Remus complained.
"Mr. Johnson," Virgil told him.
"Oh, yeah, that would do it." The demon sat back, folding his arms. "I don't even want to know what he said this time."
"Glad to know we all hate him," Roman growled.
Virgil leaned closer to the demon, wanting to calm him down. "Not the most pleasant person, that's for sure. What happened at the principal's office?"
"I'm a demon, I simply told them what happened, and encouraged them to believe me. He was sympathetic towards me, and had promised to talk to Mr. Johnson. I'll be very disappointed if he isn't fired soon."
"Oh my gods if we could get rid of him... That would be amazing."
"Then again... this isn't the best school," Remus reminded them. "I mean, the principal did shit for Virgil when he was beaten every other day."
Roman growled lowly and put a protective arm around Virgil's waist, making the human blush deeply. Roman didn't notice, but Janus and Remus shared a tired look.
"I wish I was able to punch at least one of those kids," Roman grumbled.
"Oh yeah! I was able to scare the shit out of them when you were asleep!" Remus told him. "That was fun."
"What? Why, what happened?" Roman frowned, looking worried as he glanced between Virgil and the other two.
"Did Virgil not tell you?" Janus asked.
"Whoopsie daisies," Remus hummed with a shrug as he grabbed a fry. He dunked it in his milk that pooled in his tray and across the table, though at this point it made no one blink in surprise.
"What happened?" Roman asked.
"Nothing! It's fine, it's not a big deal," Virgil told him.
"Well, there wasn't a chance for anything to happen since Remus and I arrived before they were able to do anything," Janus calmed Roman.
"It was so much fun," Remus giggled. "Oh you should have seen the way I scared the shit out of them. They went crying for their mommies like little babies, and we didn't even do much!"
Roman whined at the thought of Virgil in danger. "This is why I wish you would fight back."
"I can't, because then I'll be the one in trouble, or they'll hit harder. Besides, they stopped messing with me once you became a student."
"Good, but they shouldn't have messed with you in the first place."
"How about this, if they ever mess with me again, you can punch them. Not hard enough to kill them, but just enough to hurt."
"Yes! Thank you!" Roman squeezed Virgil into a hug, making Remus snicker and Janus roll his eyes as the human somehow turned a darker shade of red.
"Both of them are oblivious idiots," Janus mumbled quietly.

There was a soft fluttering before there was the sound of shoes hitting concrete. The angel walked over to Anthony, who still had his bow out and was watching the school.
"Where were you?" he asked.
"I went to talk to the human, the one contracted to the prince," the angel explained.
Anthony turned to her with wide eyes. "I had warned against it! Why would you do that?! Are you trying to get us all killed?!"
"The demon didn't hurt me, though he was very upset when he found us. I had tried to be discreet about it, but he caught me. Still, his only goal was keeping the human safe, even from me."
Considering this, Anthony asked, "Did you learn anything else?"
"The human seems insistent on trusting the demon. He didn't want to believe that the prince seemed to be planning anything, at least that's how it appeared. He and the witch are dangerous though, no human should hold the power that those two demons possess. And with the two cults here... I fear they might be planning something."
"Prince Roman did seem to have a hatred for those cults. You don't think they could be plotting against the humans in this town?"
"I don't know, but I still don't trust the demon. I'm not sure if the humans are the dangerous ones here, as they're led to believe, or if the demons are just using them. Either way, I believe that it would be dangerous if the demons continue to reside on this Earth. They pose a huge threat, especially since they're both powerful and live close to each other."
"What are you suggesting?"
The angel held herself high, giving herself a confident look. "We need to get rid of them."
"To do that we would need an archangel. They're the only ones powerful enough to plan, and execute that."
"If it needs to be done."
"And the cults here?"
The angel scoffed. "Do you really believe those humans can do any harm to an archangel?"
"Very well, perhaps you are correct. Then I shall call Pane to deal with this mess."
