"There you are, little god."
The three of them turned to see Alice standing at the entrance of the kitchen. Virgil's skin crawled and he felt light headed. This couldn't be happening. She couldn't be here. It... it couldn't be real...
"You know, I was very hurt when you left me," she told Virgil, walking forward. Red light hit her from cracks in the boarded up window. "I was hoping you'd come back the moment whatever spell was put up broke. I mean, your aura is so strong now, it's impossible not to follow it. It was obvious I was going to come for you."
Roman and Remus moved in front of Virgil, who was frozen in fear. He had to move, he had to do something. Why couldn't he move his body? He could barely even move his fingers. Why? Why now? He needed to do something. He needed to stop her. She was going to hurt everyone.
Alice glared at the demon twins. "Please, do you two think you can really beat me?" She turned to Roman. "The second someone throws a punch, you'll lose your magic." Then Remus. "And you're just a duke. You and I are on very different levels of power. And then there's my favorite little god... well... You're so pathetic you couldn't even scratch me if you tried."
"I'm-I'm not..." Virgil tried to speak, but his voice failed him. He couldn't even talk back to her, how did he expect to beat her in a fight?
Roman's claws grew and he summoned two daggers. Remus summoned his morning star, taking a step forward hoping he would have to do most of the fighting. Virgil was clearly in no condition to fight, and Roman would focus on him too much, magic or not.
"Well, I was just going to come pick you all up. But if you really want to do this here..." Alice summoned two duel swords. "I have no problem with it."
Before any of them could even so much as blink, Alice appeared in front of Roman, her blade slashing up from the side. Roman was barely able to catch it with his daggers, not wanting to move to protect Virgil. He still moved him to the side a few inches, and he barely caught himself from falling.
Alice tried to cut him with her other sword since he was using both hands, but Remus knocked it out of the way with his morning star, barely just missing Roman. The red demon jumped back, moving both daggers to one hand and grabbing Virgil.
He teleported to the living room, and it didn't even take a second for Alice to follow. The moment she appeared, she threw a throwing knife at them. Roman cut it down but Alice came upon him fast, swinging both swords down.
Virgil flinched as he watched Roman block both swords, catching them with the hilts of the daggers. Remus teleported behind Alice with his morning star raised high, but she turned and hit him with a spinning kick, knocking him back into the broken couch.
Without the swords being pushed down on him, Roman moved forward and tried to stab Alice. He ducked when her sword swung at him, but right before his dagger cut into her, she teleported to the side and hit his back with the pummel of her swords, making him fall to the ground.
She tried to stab him but he rolled out of the way. A whip wrapped around her wrist and pulled her hand away before she could pull her sword from the ground. She growled and turned to Remus, who was holding on tight.
Remus hooked a foot around the couch leg and turned, throwing Alice as hard as he could before she could even do anything. She shouted as she hit a wall, breaking the drywall and cracking brick. However before the dust settled, she teleported again, but this time was hiding.
Virgil quickly fumbled for his knife, opening the switchblade with shaky hands as he looked around. Roman had moved behind him, keeping his back against the god's.
