|Athena's POV|

I don't know for how long I've been rotting down here but I can say that it's been more than two hours.

"Life—" I paused, "—what a joke!" I groaned before letting out a sigh.

Just then, the door in front of me was pushed open, allowing light inside the room. However, I could not see the face of the person who entered. I could see only his frame. He was definitely a guy and he was tall. Closing the door behind him, he walked towards me.

The room went dark again. The only thing I could see were his grey eyes which were kind of glowing in the dark. They were so damn familiar yet I couldn't place my hands on where I saw them.

"Is this some kind of werewolf shit and I'm your mate? I honestly do hope you're the Alpha though cause I'm Luna material." I joked, breaking the silence. I also internally cringed at the sound of my voice, it was really hoarse. I could barely recognise it. I expected him to say something but he kept quiet. "Okay, jokes aside then, who are you and why am I here?"

"You like playing dumb, don't you?" He questioned in an emotionless voice which sent shivers down my spine. "Two weeks ago, Joseph sent you to steal my shipments, didn't he?"

"Joseph, who?"

"Don't make me refresh your memory," He spoke through gritted teeth, "I'd hate to disfigure you."

"I'd like to see you try." I mimicked which was a very bad move since I felt him glare at me. He then grabbed a chair from beside me and put it in front of me before taking a seat on it so he was just facing me.

"Listen up, darling, I've dealt with enough shit for the past years and I'm not in a mood to deal with more so spill the fucking beans already. Tell me where the hell he's hiding and I'll let you go."

"Well, darling, I'd like to tell you if I knew who the fuck you're talking about. I've been alive for twenty years now and never have I ever heard of any Joseph or whatever." I replied honestly with a hint of annoyance in my voice. "Unless you're talking about Joseph Morgan. I tell you, that man is so—" he cut me off, "shut up."

It was clear that he got the wrong person. Who was he and why did he sound so familiar? That was the billion dollar question.

"A location for your freedom. That's all I ask." He said as if he didn't hear whatever I just told him. He was freaking ignoring me. Of course he didn't believe me.

"But I don't—" he cut me off, "you do know. This isn't going to work." He sighed, standing up, "I'm gonna have to kill your entire family in front of your eyes. Is that what you want?"

"You've got the wrong person!" I exclaimed, "I'm not whoever you think I am. I don't know who you're talking about and it's the fucking truth!" I took a deep breath, calming myself down, "anyway, good luck finding my family to kill 'cause I don't have any."

He let out an annoyed groan before walking towards the door. Then he flipped on a switch and the lights were turned on, revealing Sean fucking Blackwood. Of course it had to be him of all people.

"Fuck," he clenched his jaw, staring at me with his usual emotionless face,  "who the fuck are you? What are you doing here?"

"I've been kidnapped, asshole." I retorted, rolling my eyes, "seems like it was you who did it yet you're asking me the question."

"I initiated it, yeah but I wasn't the one who went there to kidnap your ass." He ran a hand through his brown hair, "damn it. These fuckers can't do one fucking job right."

"I know right." I muttered, "wasted three hours of my god damn time for absolutely nothing."

"Just—" He pointed around him, at lost of words as he sighed, "—stay."

"Do I look like a dog to you?"

Without bothering to reply to my question, he turned around and left, slamming the door shut behind him but he kept the lights on. I groaned, throwing my head backwards, feeling the hard uncomfortable wood from the chair under my head as I closed my eyes. I was going to be there for a long time and I could feel it.
