|Sean's POV|
When Athena didn't reply my calls nor texts, I thought that something was wrong so I headed straight to her house.
But imagine my surprise when I saw her sitting on a bed in some room with Thea sitting beside her.
My face morphed into complete shock as I stared at my sister after months.
Fuck I missed her.
"Sean," she muttered, standing up almost instantly before walking towards me and wrapping her arms around, "feels like it's been forever."
I hugged her back, feeling an immediate rush of happiness shooting through me. "I missed you," I muttered which made her tighten her arms around me, "I missed you more. God, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this."
I do, actually. A couple of months. This is not the time for this. Shut up.
"When did you come?" I questioned, pulling away from her before glancing at Athena who had a smile on her face as she stared at us.
"A while ago," Thea replied making me furrow my brows as my eyes darted to Athena who had stood up by then. "I thought you said she was gonna come in a week."
"I didn't know either, idiot." She said with a roll of her eyes.
"That wasn't what you were calling me—" I was cut off by Athena herself, "—anyway, since you guys are having your little reunion, I'll leave you two be."
"What?" Thea was the first to ask, "you don't have to go anywhere."
"Yeah, you don't." I surprised myself with those words. She shot me a wide grin, her tone teasing as she walked towards me, "you want me to stay? How sweet!"
I scoffed just as she tried to ruffle my hair like some kid. However, I caught her wrist before she could. "Don't touch my hair."
"That's not what you were saying last night."
I had to hold in a laugh when her eyes widened at her own words, gaze flickering to Thea who was mirroring Athena's expression with her mouth slightly opened.
"Idiot, you just gave yourself away."
"What—" Thea paused, raising her hand as she pointed her finger from Athena to me back and forth, "last night...? what happened— did you two— oh my god!" She shot us a look I couldn't quite decipher, "you did, didn't you?"
"Did what?" Athena asked, placing her hands behind her back as she played dumb, looking at Thea innocently. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Sex," Thea responded bluntly, not buying her act. "You guys had sex." A look of realisation crossed her features and her head snapped in Athena's direction before I could even blink, "that's why you look way more cheerful. I knew something was different with you, I just couldn't figure out what."
"More cheerful, you say?" I shot a small smirk at Athena who rolled her eyes, "what do you mean? I'm always cheerful."
Thea's brows quirked up, "if by cheerful you mean you look like you're about to kill someone if you haven't done it already then yeah, I suppose."
"One of you was enough, really." She muttered as she tried to fight the smile that was threatening to break onto her face.
"You love it," Thea flashed her smile, "anyway, I'm pretty tired so I'm going to rest for a while. You two are free to do whatever you want. I feel like I'm stopping something."
Right, you are.
"Of course not," I said, completely against myself, "you're doing no such thing. I'm really happy you're here." Cant wait to see Alessio's face when he'd find out.
Would he be happy? Angry? Or both? I'd bet on both. There was no way he was just gonna be happy once he found out that all this time, we were aware of his girlfriend being alive and we said no shit. But he loves us so he'll get over it. Hopefully.
"What he said," Athena muttered earning a chuckle from her, "whatever you say. I really do need rest though so yeah..." She smiled, "go have fun. Don't make too much noise because I'm gonna sleep."
"We're going to my office," the words left my mouth on their own, "... To play video games."
"Are we?" Athena shot me a questioning look. I nodded, running a hand through my hair, "yeah, we should let her rest in silence and games make... noise. A lot of noises."
I glanced at Athena at the corner of my eyes. She had her brows furrowed, her face filled with confusion. She had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.
"You can turn the volume down." Thea said, looking at me as if I was crazy. "But it won't be as fun," I defended, "I like to play it with sound... I like when they're loud, y'know?"
"Oh," Athena muttered suddenly, her eyes widening as she realised what I meant. She looked at the ground, hiding her face behind her hair as she turned around and walked towards the door, "I'm gonna go drink something before we leave." Then she walked out while Thea chuckled then smirked, "Right. Have fun playing your games in your office. Both of you. I'll see you later."
"Bye sis," I hugged her one more time, placing a quick kiss on her forehead before leaving as well.
