"You're barely home these days." Clarissa spoke up, sitting down next to me on the couch. I was busy texting someone on my phone, not bothering to look at her. I only hummed in response.
"Why are you being like this?" She asked again, noticing my disinterest in holding a conversation with her, "I feel like we're drifting apart."
I inwardly rolled my eyes, putting my phone aside as I stood up and looked down at her, "come with me."
"What?" Her brows shot up but she got on her feet nonetheless, "where?"
"Just follow me." I stated and began walking towards the stairs, having the intention of going to her room. Once I was standing in front of the door, she was right beside me, shooting me a confused look, "this is my room."
"Yeah, I know." I deadpanned, bringing my hand to the doorknob before opening it, "let's go in, shall we?" Nodding with her confused look on, we both stepped inside and I closed it behind. "Uh..." She chuckled confusedly, "what are we doing here?"
"To spend some quality sister time together," I said with a fake cheerful tone and smile on as I sat on her bed, "what do you say? Since you feel like we're drifting apart and all that shit."
"I didn't—" Clarissa was cut off by me, shooting her a bland look, "didn't you say that you feel like we are drifting apart?"
"Yes..." She pursed her lips in a thin line, "but I didn't mean for you to come to my room so we could spend time together."
"Well what else do you want to do?" I asked, shooting off her bed with an excited expression on my face, "oh wait, I know!"
"Wha—" she cut herself off, her eyes widening when I bent down and removed the old boxes from under her bed, "let's go through your old mails. How about that? Isn't that fun?"
"No!" She was quick to interject, rushing forward as she snatched the box from my hands, gulping, "these... These are not... They aren't to go through, okay? They are important things— and basically boring."
"Really?" I faked confusion, "but we used to go through old mails all the time when we were little even though they were boring. Come on sis, let's do that again, you know? Relive old days."
"No." She shot me a serious look, "let's not. Let's do something else."
"Okay," I sat on her bed again, "let's talk about the things we've been doing behind each other's back starting with you."
"I haven't..." She paused, shaking her head, "what are you talking about? I haven't been doing anything behind your back. What's with you?"
"What's with me?" I pointed to me, feigning an innocent look, "nothing's with me. I'm just a little heartbroken because I found out that my sister has been plotting behind my back. I mean, who wouldn't be? I thought we were close, sis."
Her eyes widened in surprise, clutching to the box tightly, "I haven't been plotting against you! Who told you that?"
"Your old mails to our grandfather did." I deadpanned, lying flat on her bed as she backed to the door, "what do you think I am? dumb? Come on, darling, you've known me since forever. How long do you think you would've been able to keep this from me?"
"You went through my personal stuff?" She asked, anger dripping from her tone to which I paid no mind to as she continued, "how dare you?! There is a line between—"
"—So when were you planning to, I don't know, take me down so you could drop my body to our grandfather dearest?" I asked, sitting up straight, "what's he offering you? Money? Revenge?"
"He's offering me revenge! To avenge who you stole from me!" Clarissa shouted, throwing the box aside, "my parents! I know you killed them! He does too! Now he wants you so he can torture the hell out of you and avenge his daughter! And you know what? I hate you. I hate you so much! You're a psychopath! You don't deserve to live after what you've done and this is exactly why I'm going to take you down and send you to him so he can do the job."
"You're delusional to think that he's gonna kill me once he gets his hands on me." I got up from the bed, facing the angry girl, "once he gets me, he isn't gonna kill me, you daft bitch— He's planning to use me."
"I don't care." Clarissa snarled, raising her hand as she attempted to slap me but I caught it perfectly, "oh my god!" I fake gasped, "you were going to slap your younger sister? How dare you stoop this low?"
"Oh suck it up, you bitch!" She brought her knees up in attempt to knee me but I blocked that too with my own knee, "what, you think you're gonna beat me? How fucking delusional."
"How do you know how to fight?" She asked, taking a few steps away, "you had nobody to teach you." I scoffed, "that's what you think. Now, ready to die, dear sister?"
"I'm going to fucking kill you." She swore under her breath as she charged at me while I stared at her in amusement.
