|Sean's POV|

I was busy sitting and working, my fingers typing furiously and quickly at the keyboard of my laptop. I was exhausted.

Not from work.

My eyes flickered from my laptop screen to the woman sleeping peacefully on the couch.

I've never allowed anyone to do that before. I've never fucked anyone in my office let alone letting them sleep on my couch. Athena was something else.

Just then, a loud beep rang through the room which made me instantly press on the button to keep it down so as not to wake her up although I wanted to just for the fun of it. But she was tired. I haven't exactly been slow on her.

"What is it?" I asked through the intercom. Not more than a second later, the receptionist responded, "Mr Richard Jameson is here. Should I send him up?"

Fucking Richard. He could've chosen another time to come but no, he just had to come today. Just great.

He was the CEO of a well known company. I was trying to get information on him since there were many CEOs who knew of my other work after the stunt Joseph pulled. Maybe he was one of them. The best way to find that out was to interrogate the man kindly. "Tell him to wait for me outside my office."

I leaned back in my chair and waited for the man to appear in front of my office door. Once I saw him, I got up from my seat and made my way out, closing the door behind me so as not to disturb the sleeping beauty.

"Richard?" I questioned earning a nod from him. "Mr Blackwood," he greeted with a smile. He was around fifty years old— way older than me yet he treated me with absolute respect. Damn did I like that.

"Is there a reason why we're not inside your office?" He asked, raising his brows slightly while I shrugged, "not really. Come with me."

Nodding, he began following me as I walked towards another office room on the same floor which was not really in use. I opened the door and allowed him to get in before stepping in as well, closing it behind me.

Pointing towards the couches, I said, "take a seat." He nodded curtly before sitting down, leaning back and making himself comfortable. His hands went to rest on his lap as he waited for me to speak. I was just standing a few feet away from him with my hands in the pocket of my pants, staring at him.

Judging by the way he was acting around me, I wouldn't say that he knew of my other work. But maybe he did. He was just a good actor. I could not really tell. But then again, Joseph told several CEOs, didn't he? Richard could very well be one of them. It would, in fact, be surprising if he wasn't aware about it. After all, he was one of the most successful after me, Enzo and Alessio.

"By the way, I've heard about your sister. Thea, was it?" When I gave him a nod, he continued, "what happened to her was absolutely tragic. I couldn't attend her funeral—"

"—You weren't invited." I cut the man off, "it's all right. I don't need your sympathy... as weird as it is. You didn't know about her existence until she died. What exactly are you trying to do, Richard?"

His brows raised up at my words before he visibly gulped. His hands went to his tie as he loosened it, "I— I— never mind. Can we get to the reason why I'm here? I was notified that Mr Blackwood wishes to meet me. So you understand the excitement I felt upon hearing the news. You're... you so it's an incredible honour. I thought you wished to become partners."

Partners? I scoffed at the thought. I did not need him. I already have enough partners to begin with.

"But that would be absurd, of course." He continued, his lips pulled into a frown, "you already have two partners, do you not? Mr De Luca and Mr Romano." He let out a small chuckle, his eyes narrowing at me suspiciously. He knew. "It's insane, isn't it?" Richard asked with an accusing tone, "how you three get along almost as if you all share the same... secret."

"So I'm guessing you're one of Joseph's little bitches?"

"Joseph's little what?" His tone was filled with anger, "I am no one's bitch, Mr Blackwood. What you do? It's completely illegal. This needs to be stopped. You're not allowed to roam around freely being who you are."

"Who am I, exactly?" I tilted my head to the side as I bent down and interlocked my fingers together, my elbows resting on the headrest of the couch while I stared at him with amusement swirling in my eyes.

"The American Mafia Leader," he responded, trying to keep his voice calm and composed. He was scared, it was showing. The way his hands were trembling, he was trying his best to stop it by rubbing them together. Even his legs were shaking as he tried to make it seem like he was moving it himself. He knew that I knew he was scared. Good.

"And do you know what that means?"

"Wh—What?" He gulped, his body becoming rigid in his seat.

"I can do whatever I want. I can kill you right now and get away with it." I pushed myself off and made my way towards him, "how does that sound?"

"Is that why you called me?" He asked, arching his brows, "so that you can kill me?"

I clicked my tongue, shaking my head at his question, "of course not, darling. I called you here simply to question you then maybe if you're lucky, I'll get the idea of throwing you off this building out of my mind which is actually plan B. How about that?"

He licked his dry lips, scratching the back of his neck as he took a deep breath, "what do you wanna know?"

A smile found it's way onto my face at that. "That wasn't so hard, was it?"

"I'll die if Joseph finds out I've snitched so you better not rat me—"

"— Joseph is the least of your worries, really. I'm the one who's going to kill you if you don't speak."

"Right," he cleared his throat, "what... what do you want?"

"Names," I responded, "I want the names of all the CEOs involved in this. And I want you to hold a meeting with them. Then I'll crash and get rid of them."

"Of them?" He raised his brows but instantly muttered an apology when I shot him a glare. Loving the power, really. "All of them? You'll kill them?"

"Of course not," I rolled my eyes, "that would a scandal."

"Then what are you gonna do?"

"You'll see. Now give me the names before I grow impatient and go with plan B."
